Yea basically that trade has already been dicussed, espically adding Terry do the mix to get out of his contract and give the Heat a 3rd option on offense. But I just dont think the Dallas mgmt are even considering that option

well since miami is supposedly shopping there pick and a little hesitant on beasley this is the perfect time to get into the miami sweepstakes. for people in favor of rebuilding this would be the time. theres a .5% chance of it happening but id be in favor of a dirk for marion/#2 pick and take beasley off there hands

if i was to do that id ship howard off for another draft pick too and then either try and trade kidd for expirings or make him playout the season so we get his and marions cap relief after the season

the chance to really change this team could begin now but it wont happen in all likelyhood

Nice to see that someone agrees. This is the time to start rebuilding and Dirk has the value to get us a very high pick. However, I'm not crazy about Beasily and I'm not sure Mayo is the real deal. If the Mavs could work out a deal with Chicago, I'd definitely be in favor of a virtual Dirk for Rose deal.

I'd even consider trading Dirk and Howard to net 3 lotto picks, expiring contracts and youth. That would allow us to start building a supporting cast of young talent for a big time FA in a few years. It would also almost assure us of a top 3 pick next season. We would then have plenty of cap space to pay a young FA some big bucks in the next few years as well as have the rights to resign all of these draft picks.

I see this as a golden opportunity for the Mavs but unfortunately the FO doesn't see it this way.

i dont see how you arent sold on beasley he's probably better then rose but the way PG's are dominating the league rose makes the most sense as the #1 pick IMO

im not sure if i neccessarily agree with rebuilding, its just that i dont see our FO doing anything to make a legit run at a player or big shakeup. hell id just like to get a pick in this draft b/c next years appears to be noticeably weaker (i think its as good if not better then last years draft)
