I didn't say i'd do it, just for the record. :) Okay, you guys convinced me, so the FO basically can't trade Jet and J-Ho even if they wanted to, because we never ever gonna get equal value for them. So our improvement could come from the coaching job, a training camp with Jason Kidd, our young guys development, the MLE, (if they can save it), and we can hope that Foster, Seibutis, R. Terry or somebody from the summer league roster can make an impact.

One more thing, please somebody give me a heads up about that albatros thing. :D Albatros contract means a very bad, long contract right? :D Have a nice sunday guys.

because his contract is not albaros.

Terry is in the top 10 3 pt shooter (% and #) for several years. His overall FG% is amoung the best of guards. He scores over 15ppg every year except his rookie year (8.1) and his first year as a Mav (12.1). In his 9 year career, he has only missed 12 games and none in Dallas was due to injury.

The dude is easily worth his 4 yr, 38.9 mil salary. Of which, 5.6 mil of his last year's salary is not guaranteed unless he plays 25+ MPG in his next to last year (listed as "unlikely", but as durable and youthful Terry is, it may be likely, and if it is, that means he is still producing).

So, that is 4 yr, 33.3 mil if he all of a sudden declines at age 33 or 4 yr, 38.9 mil if he still stays his valuble self at age 34. BTW, that is one misconception...unless we resign him, he will never be 35 (Kidd's age) and a Mav at the same time.

Either way, anyone who thinks his contract is "albatros" is so far off base, they deserve to be fired!

thank you! been meaning to say this but i'm too lazy to reply to everything that annoys me. i get tired of reading on here how this guy or that guy have freaking franchise crippling contracts. I've seen that alot about Terry lately and people are even saying that about JHo. If you want albatross contracts, go look at the Knicks roster of the past few years.

I have tremendous respect for the JET, he is one of my faves, and he was among the few who showed up in the playoffs. But his contract is not lookin' good, let's face it. The "albatros" attribute was a little too much, i'll give you that, but still, his contract is not that good, almost untradeable. Which, indeed, not neceserraly a problem while he is still productive, even with his flaws. As i said, i have tremendous respect for the guy, and i won't forget what he did to that team, and what he means to the franchise. Just for the record.
