I read that OKC is going to be active with trades this summer... so I'm wondering if we can somehow get Watson from them. I've been interested in him for a long time as a back-up and his defensive prowess would seem to match well with Kidd. I've seen mentions of Ridnour being available but it seems to me that Watson would be moved first as Westbrook will now be the defending PG.
I definitely don't think JJB is ready to be our back-up. He's a smaller, less talented Terry if you ask me. Is there anything we could offer them that they might bite on?

Re: Earl Watson
Jason Terry was fine as our #1 PG in 2006 and will be better as our #2 than Watson or Ridnour.
I know some people here think he is a 2, but Terry is just not all that at the 2 and MUCH....MUCH better at the 1 than he will ever be at the 2.
Unless you are trading Terry or Kidd, any asset traded for a PG is a wasted asset as we just don't have enough minutes at the 1 to share with Terry, Kidd and Barea (much the same last year with Harris, Terry, Barea). PG is not a weak spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya Earl Watson is really going to want to come here and be the backup to Kidd. Since he does not like being the backup in Sea/OKC.

Re: Earl Watson
There is a difference backing up Ridnour than Kidd and there is a difference being a backup for the worst team in the NBA. I'm not saying that I want Watson but I'm sure he would love to leave Seattle for Dallas.

Re: Earl Watson
Meanwhile a guy that the Mavs are paying $9 mil+ does what if Watson comes here? Terry playing shooting guard? Right!?!?! This team has 3 PG's they don't need to add another $6+ mil dollar one.

Seattle is short on talent. I dont want anyone outside of the players theyve drafted in past 2 years from them.

Re: Earl Watson
Earl Watson would be the best defensive PG. But I doubt if Cuban gives up on J-Kidd so early.
