Cuban, who bought the team from Perot in 2000, contended taking the Golden State job violated a no-compete clause in Nelson's contract.
"I got exactly what I wanted out of the deal, the true facts of the situation," Cuban said in an e-mail. "I feel a lot better knowing that, under oath, [Nelson] said that in between [the] Mavs' Finals games he was meeting with their GM and helping the Warriors work on their draft plans, that he and his lawyers had started discussions more than a month before he took the job, not days as he said publicly."
That is a bit shocking. It may happen all the time and we don't know it.
But does it make it okay that GSW picked O'Bryant that draft?
