OT - Dallas on Business

Post#1 » by PhilJackZEN10 » Wed Sep 10, 2008 3:49 pm

Hello Mav Fans. Laker fan here from Illinois. I will be taking my annual trip to Dallas for a meeting the week of November 2. I realize I am going to miss my beloved Lakers for the 2nd year in a row by 1 week, but am hoping to be able to check out the sole Mavs game Vs. Cleveland. Does anyone out there have a preticket sale code to ensure that I can obtain good seats?

Also, what "must see" attractions do I need to check out? We will be staying at the Mariott Dallas/FT Worth and tied up for most of the work day (8-5), so we will porbalby be looking a the nightlife most of all. Last year we had a hell of a time at the bar there and several thorughout the city. Boi Na Baza (Brazilian Steak House) was awesome! What else do I need to see/do?

Hi Phil, I understand how you feel when you write a question or a comment on the board and get NOTHING back from the Mavericks "fans". These are the worst fans in all the NBA; at least by what they show in their forum. I have posted a few times in here and in times have had two wait a day or two to get just one reply. These guys don't give **** about what is going on with their team (except for a very few; probably mods) and they seldomly reply to posts that any realgm'er might add in their forum (I really don't know if they ever read them). So please don't get discouraged and keep coming back to the forum as hopefully you'll find an answer to your questions by the end of the week. Since I live in Florida, I cannot help you with your questions but if you get to go to the Mavs-Cavs game, please take a camera with you, take some good pics and share it with us. Well, take care and I hope you get your answers soon. To all you Mavs "fans" please show some devotion to your team and at least answer when an outsider visits you forum asking questions regarding your team and/or city.

As far as tickets, you should try Stubhub. I have bought good tickets there. The picket window is walking distance from the stadium.

He posted this at 3:49 pm yesterday, and your complaining at a lack of response ? Geez dude STFU. There are some pretty devoted Mavs fans out there, they just dont happen to alway belong to RealGM....so take your whiney attitude somewhere else.

As to the original poster. The pre-sale tickets tend to go pretty fast, however if you go to Mavs.com and enter their ticket center you can often find season ticket holders who will sell their unused seats, you can find some pretty great seats that way.

As for entertainment, the House of Blues which is right in the proximity of the American Airlines Areana is a nice place to eat or drink prior to gametime.

Their are a few steakhouses and Sushi bars in that Victory Park area, as well as the Ghostbar atop the W Hotel. The Palladium Ballroom also has live music on the weekends.

If your in Texas its almost a must to check out some BBQ, there is a place called Sammy's on Pearl St in the downtown area, you will have to google for further info on these places, i dont have access to that right now while im at work.

There seems like endless amounts of bars and clubs, which will still be the hot spot when you make it down here ?? hmm is probably like trying to win the lotto. At the moment its Posh, Wish Ultralounge, Opus, Sting, Clear...maybe Fuse. But when your ready to make your trip check out this site, you'll be able to see what events are going on that week.
