Does Dallas need to make any more moves? If So....

How big of a move?

I ask because Crawford as some of us read is on the trading block and if this is true i would love to get him. But if we dont really need that big of a move then a small move like picking up Dan Dickau or someoone like that. We could trade Stackhouse for Crawford. It would cut costs for New York and grant us a great SG IF WE NEED IT

I dont see New York doing this, but thats OK with me... I wouldnt want anyone off that team other than draft picks anyway.

Josh, JET and Stack. We need to trade 2 of these three players off the team. 2 of those 3 IMO could net a good to great rotation member on the team and this team needs more shakeup of the rotation guys (churning the 10-15 roster spots doesn't really do it for me). I'd like to have Crawford on the team as an upgrade to Terry (and our undisputed starting 2 as well as backup 1).

NY wouldn't want Terry's contract back so if it was Stack and JET in the trade a third team would need to be in the mix. If it was JET and JHo then a third team would need to be in the mix cause NY doesn't have anything else I'd really want (besides I still want Stack out of here and I also think the value JHo gives us is more than the value he's gonna demand this year in trade).

eehh...

I would definatly trade Stack for Crawford 2 months ago (Stack & Stack only because he is the only player on our team that is a worse chucker than Crawford...Terry > than the chucker at SG and Terry >>> anything else we have at the backup 1). After seeing Wright, Green and still waiting for Williams, I'd just assume cut Stack than add over $19 mil in salary with part of it being in 2010-11.

I don't like Crawford or Stackhouse. Crawford isn't what we need. We need low block scorers, not another outside shooter and part-time defender. We already have Green to do that.

Carlisle will limit Stacks minutes this year. Wright will fill his spot. I've really liked what I've seen in Wright this pre-season. Good defense and solid O.

Being a "chucker" means they are at least making a decision, they are players that make things happen. This team has too many efficient scorers, guys that don't make decisions, guys that hold the ball for the "perfect" scoring opportunity. We need a "chucker" or two on this team so they can make the defense work much harder!

*edit: That's also beside the point that this team needs a churning of the minute loggers on the team.

LOL...that's the best defense of term chucker I ever seen. Albeit incorrect, it's still funny to see someone defending people who jack the ball up say screw you to the other 4 players on the court. And still laughing at trying to call effecient, bad.

Ah, man...I'll be laughing at that one the entire day!

Side note: I really doubt Cuban will invest another 19 mil concidering he was too cheap to use the MLE last year and he is heavily invested in the stock market which has been seeing record lows.

They should always have an eye on Charlotte in these days. They have long contracts, a team that looks like it doesnt work and the franchise makes huge losses.

Felton, Wallace, maybe Richardson (but i doubt).

i could see a S&T Swap Bass-Felton next offseason. Or we get something done on the deadline with Stack/Damp.

But of course it wouldnt be cheap and mostly with contracts over 2010...

Charlotte is interesting. I think with MJ running the show, they may be looking for better talent, but if we can turn Stack or Terry into Richardson or Wallace, that would be a steal. I'm a huge Bass fan and don't really like Felton at all, so I wouldnn't do that, but it's still interesting.

I don't think MJ would want Stack ...

But since Larrry Brown usually hates his players, Charlotte seems to be a good trading partner ;)

and I would love Jason Richardson on this team

Laugh all you want, but the team isn't getting any better than a 2nd round exit playoff team with what they have. I'm happy to watch the team succeed at that while knowing it could have been better, might also be worse. At this point though we all know what we have, and it's not a championship team. It's also not an up and coming team either.

BTW, JES12, JET or Stack turned into JRich? Seriously? What exactly is more laughable? Take that trade to the T&T forum and see what you get...

Way too many posters on this site that are too full of themselves.

I said "looking for better talent, but"...."if" and "it would be a steal"....so not laughable at all. I also never said a 2 for 2 swap, now did I? Not even a good attempt of trying to discredit me or my post. I think this last post of yours actually is an example of the staement you made on the last line.

Anyways, as far as Crawford, he will not change our chances at going further...if anything, he may get us knocked out faster if he is getting conciderable minutes. I never said this team is getting to the second round, but I know one thing, I'd rather not strap Cubans money down so that we can add a better player next off season with the MLE as opposed to assuming Crawford's contract and "KNOWING" our team is not any better.

All that said, if such a trade happens, I would not care overly too much (like the Howard + Terry for Iverson + garbage proposals), but it would totally destroy any chance we have at getting anyone in 2010.

Giving any kind of credence to that type of proposal is beyond ignorant regardless of disclaimers. That's the laughable part. Go on thinking yours is the only thought that counts, that is laughable too.

What are you talking about?

You gave your opinion. I gave mine. You responded to mine and I found your response funny.

How did you get anything different than that? Did you take offense to me laughing at you comical responce?

I'm not talking about anything, Mr. Innocent. I responded laughing right back at you, did you take offense at the joke being on you? I mean, I find your comments and mentality to be very funny, is that offensive? You can take comfort in me having a good time at your expense though, right?

I would like to see this team wait until January before they make a move. Would like to see a large sample of Green and Wright during the regular season and see if there preseason translates over and they continue to play well.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
