Portland Trades:
Travis Outlaw
Steve Blake
Dallas Trades:
Jason Terry
I don't know how much Mavs fans have watched Portland, but Travis can be really good when he's in the right situation. Ideally, he's a perfect sixth man, but in the right offense, he could easily start. Depending on what type of lineup the Mavs want to run, he can play either the SF or PF position. Also, Blake is an ideal back up PG who could really alleviate a lot of minutes that Kidd has to play. Plus, both Blake and Outlaw have short term deals. The Mavs could either extend them, or get a massive salary cap savings depending on how they worked out.
I don't really watch Mavs games, so I don't really know how their rotations look right now. Is this a deal that the Mavs would be interested in?

I just dont think Portland does it because Blake is starting for them I could be wrong but I think Outlaw is too, but regardless I dont see Portland trading young, talented, and cheap for older, declining, and expensive. From the Mavs perspective I dont think it would really mix well with having Howard on the team if your going to have Outlaw as well.

I doubt Terry could fetch either one of them solo.

I'll fly Blake and Outlaw to Dallas myself and bring Terry back with me on my flight back.

Re: Dallas/Portland Trade Idea???
So what is Terry's game like these days? Is he starting to break down already? From the little I've watched him in the past, he seemed to be a perimeter player who could occasionally drive to the hoop? Is his game determined by athleticism, BB-IQ, what?
How is his defense, on the ball and team defense?

Re: Dallas/Portland Trade Idea???
Honestly, I've seen him drive to the basket more so far this year than I've seen him do in a couple years. Through time he's become a bit more inconsistent, but his demeanor is infectious as a leader on the bench and in the locker room. He'll get your crowd riled up for sure as well as provide the cheering for the players on the road.
He's also pretty much our best offense at the end of the game which would be kind of hard to leave since Dirk doesn't ask for it, he'll take it if it's given him, but not ask for it. However, that's what I think has become the most inconsistent in JET's game over time.
Everyone will tell you a different story about his defense. He is inconsistent on that as well. At times he will look like he did defending CP in the playoffs last year (didn't stop him by any means, but kept up with him and harassed him which is the most you can expect). Other times you'll cuss him out for being an open door to the rim.

Terry is too old for Portland.
