It doesn't matter to Jason Terry if he starts or comes off the bench.
It looks like it matters to the Mavericks.
Terry started his second consecutive game Friday. For the second consecutive game, the team was better with him in the first five.
"We're still trying to get to where we're going to be and what kind of lineups we're going to use," Terry said. "But to me, I always stay ready."
Terry is on the floor at the end of games because the Mavericks desperately need his scoring ability. The same should apply for the opening tip. If Terry doesn't start, the Mavericks put only two players on the floor who average in double figures.
Coach Rick Carlisle said he's not married to any starting five just yet. If Terry continues to perform, the vows could be exchanged soon.
"It's like I told Coach in my first meeting with him," Terry said. "I'm not going to be a guy that complains and sulks about minutes or starting or this and that.
"Hey, put me in, and I'm going to be productive. That's how I've always approached it."

Terry really needs to be the 3rd guard in a 3 guard rotation. Green being th 2nd.

Agree with JES, Terry doesnt pose a threat like he used to and GGreen shows a ton of potential this year. If we can get value for Terry, I say take it.
