Kaman anyone?

is it too late to retool?
i am assuming with Thornton that LAC would have little use for Bass

straight up Damp for Kaman works but I expect LAC would want more
even though Damp's contract is shorter

ideas?

About 2 weeks ago, I posted Dampier + Bass for Kaman on the trade forum andd was laughed off of it. They are using Camby as a PF (Thornton is a SF). I figured a lineup 1 was better than lineup 2, but I guess they disagree. I even offered a Thomas - Stack swap to save them money.

Camby / Dampier
Bass / Jordan / Skinner

Kaman / Camby
Camby / Thomas / Jordan / Skinner

I don't think there is a way agreeable by fans to get him here without Howard going somewhere in a 3-way. Honestly, I don't think the difference btwn Dampier and Kaman is big enough for us to trade Howard.

Kaman would be a monumental upgrade over either Damp or Diop. I'd do Howard and JET for Kaman, Mobley, and a pick....depending no which direction we were trying to go.

I would love to have Kaman alongside Dirk but it's a longshot at best.

The clippers wont have much interest in Josh Howard with Al Thornton on the team, and Dallas doesnt really have anything else to get the Clippers to give up a good center. Aint happening...

Clips could move Thorton to the 2 spot (or Josh). No problem. I'd do the trade in a second. Kaman may inject the team with energy they need. Plus, he's not a bad center to replace Damp.

Is this close? I know I like it for Dallas and I believe Tor likes it, LA, not sure what they're looking for. Can't happen till Dec 15th.

Dallas out:
Josh Howard
Jerry Stackhouse

Dallas in:
Chris Kaman
Jamario Moon
Jason Kapono

LAC out:
Chris Kaman
Ricky Davis

LAC in:
Andrea Bargnani
Jerry Stackhouse

Tor out:
Andrea Bargnani
Jamario Moon
Jason Kapono

Tor in:
Josh Howard
Ricky Davis

Dallas lineup:
Kidd/JET/JJB
Green/Wright/JET
Moon/Kapono or George (depending on need)/Williams
Dirk/Bass/Kaman/Singleton
Kaman/Damp/Diop

That lineup is better than what we have and we're one Diop, JET and Bass for Wallace and Spencer trade away from our championship.

Toronto likes Josh Howard a lot, but throw in a prospect, the Raps will be one man short of the minimum and LAC wants a pick from someone.
