Just dreaming...

Post#1 » by mffl_14 » Sun Nov 9, 2008 8:07 pm

So I put this one through the checker and all the numbers worked so I thought I would get your feedback on something that would shake the core up and make us better. Not sure if the other teams involved go for it but here it goes

Dallas Trades: Howard - Terry - Bass - Stack - Damp
Dallas Recieves: Bosh - Marbury - Crawford

Toronto Trades: Bosh - Kapono
Toronto Recieves: Howard - Bass - Wallace

Charlotte Trades: Wallace & Richardson
Charlotte Recieves: Lee - Kapono - Stack - Damp

New York Trades: Lee - Crawford - Marbury
New York Recieves: Terry - Richardson

Charlotte has no need of trading Wallace either but they keep talking about trading him. I have read rumors of him leaving Toronto once he's free so anything is possible, doubtful but possible.

The problem with that trade it the only real upgrade is Bass to Bosh (huge upgrade) and that is for a player that plays the same position as our superstar. It costs 3 of our 5 best players (Bass, Howard, Terry). I think Dallas should find a way to leave NY and Toronto out of that deal.

Bosh is untouchable. Even Dirk would not be enough to get Bosh.

I got to say I disagree, I think you get a decent back up pg in Marbury which will have a huge contract that will expire while getting rid of Terry's longer contract. I think Crawford would make up what we would lose in Howard, and I say put Bosh at center while Dirk plays the PF and then you could switch it out when Diop comes into the game. Realizing all the while that Bosh really wont be going anywhere at least this season.

The only way we would ever get Bosh is in 2010, if Mark decides to throw in the towel until then and trade for some expiring contracts now... I wouldnt see why Bosh wouldnt want to come back home to Dallas if we offer him the right price.

^^^
if TOR is competing for championships by then he'd stay in Canada
pretty much the only way unless he believes DAL couldn't get anyone around him to help build a winner

Return to Dallas Mavericks
