Dirk looks out of it

Post#1 » by ppp000 » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:40 am

HE has no lift, settles for jumpers even more than before (drastic reduction in FTAs) and is not rebounding like before either.

Most of all, his body language looks like a mix between frustration and indifference.

Tonight, he didn't even want the ball in the 4th quarter. He called out his teammates only after 6 games (very uncharacteristic of Dirk) and plays like crap tonight.

He looks exactly like he did early last season when he was just going through the motions and didn't seem like he believed. Then the Kidd trade rejuvenated him and he was stellar the last half into the playoffs.

Now he looks like he needs another "rejuvenation" honestly.

do not blame on Dirk too much even though we all should, the mavs are old, it is simply not the same team 2 or 3 years ago... mavs should aim the future from tonight, hopefully the front office gives an opportunity for Dirk to win and start rebuild now! Send Dirk to Heat or Cavs, story ends tonight...

i am as sad as every single one here, goodbye to nash, goodbye to finley, goodbye to VanExel, goodye to those old mavs-happy time, it is time for a change

I'm not blaming Dirk.

He was embarassing tonight, but he still is the only consistent guy out there 9 nights out of 10.

Still doesn't look right though and I think it is b/c he is reaching his ending point with this team.

Dirk was pushing for the Kidd trade, and he got it.

And he was pushing for Avery to be fired, and he got it.

He has no excuses now. He has gotten what he wanted, now he needs to produce.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the best year under Parcels was 10-6.
Parcells 2003 10-6
Parcells 2004 6-10
Parcells 2005 9-7
Parcells 2006 9-7
Philips 2007 13-3
Philips 2008 5-4

Any winning team with Quincy Carter at QB has to be a fluke. My friends from Atlanta could not beleive the Cowboys had traded up to take him. He would not have started at UGA in his Sr year if he had stayed.
