What the hell is going on. It seems like ever since Dirk pulled out that little speech it's getting reversed. He's playing like crap while his teammates are playing good.

Dirk was craptastic tonight. We can't get a good game from team aspect. One guy will play well and everyone else will suck. This is the least amount of fun I have had watching the Mavs in quite a few years.

You guys really are not meshing out there- Howard, while not playing as badly as Dirk, is playing me-first basketball visibly out there. Terry can't guard Gordon, not even a little bit. Dirk's shot, and visibly his confidence, is shaken. Kidd has really lost a step.

I really like the Mavericks, I think they're going to do much better, and soon. But they need to do it sooner than soon, the West is too good to allow slow starts and no major injuries. Because when those injuries do come, with a veteran team like this its inevitable, they're going to hurt even more.

Wish you guys the best.

Perhaps the light bulb in Cuban's head will come on soon.
It has been obvious to many of us that this team has been finished with this roster for quite some time now.

When in the hell is Cuban going to stop being so optimistic about these guys.
This is pathetic and there is absolutely no way to turn this thing around without a major shakeup.

I'm beginning to wonder if Dirk is giving up on this team. This team needs to go a different direction.
You are not telling us anything about JHo that we don't already know. He is one of the biggest ball hogs in the NBA. We have to see it every game and quite frankly it is getting sickening to watch.
There is no chemistry to this team whatsoever...and we are slowly but surely becoming the Knicks of the West.

Thats what happens when you have a roster full of individual players. The chemistry of this team sucks and RC seems to have no clue how to fix it.
Personally, I don't think it is possible to mold this group into anything that would even resemble a championship caliber team.

Howard definitely needs to go imo.

Man, I was heavily thinking about skipping school to see this game. Looks like I made the right decision.

From the responces and the box score, here is what I see:
-Dampier >> Dirk in FG%, equal at FT%, points (16 to 12), rebounds (18 to 6), blocks (3 to 1) and steals (1 to none)
-Terry sucks defensivley and did not make up for it on the offensive end
-Howard looking like he will never work with Kidd
-Rick sucks as a coach if for no other reason than giving Stackhouse 13 more minutes than he should AND he doesn't play Green & Bass as much as he should

I try to remain posative, but I think most of us, before the season even started, questioned the hiring of Carslisle and it appears we are right.

I know this may be old hat but can anybody tell me what were the comments Dirk made ? Can't seem to find them so I came to the direct source.

Anyway I find it odd when a guy calls out his teammates then proceeds to struggle in the aftermath. The other night when we saw you guys I didn't see any discord among his teammates but I'm sure it ain't to cozy in the locker room these days.

I don't recall Dirk calling out his teammates. all I remember is a quote from that US blabermouth that played for the German team

"I talked to Dirk yesterday, and he was saying they're not playing together. They're not playing the right way. And we've had the same problem."

I know its bad...but its better than that. You have yourselves a true blue superstar in Dirk and a fading one in Kidd. I'm starting to think Howard is not what you guys need- I'm seeing too many cooks in the kitchen, too many people wanting to create, and simply not enough players finishing shots, and playing gritty defense.

I gotta say, I think Dampier is one of the most underrated centers in the NBA, but that Diop is one of the most overrated. Still, there's a solid center, point guard, and PF rotation. I don't think the problems are at all there.

I'd try to unload Stackhouse, Howard for perhaps better defenders and catch and shoot players. Guys that just finish and defend....Kidd can make look like stars.

Howard/Stack for Kapono, Parker, Moon, and filler, I think that may revitalize your team. Even if you're getting killed in value- perhaps draft picks included to hedge bets- Toronto can't say no. Its not a complete trade idea, just an example of what SORT of players I think could help.

Sorry, just thinking out loud here.

Dirk called out the whole team about not leaving everything on the court. i think the headlines said that Dirk questions teammates efforts but he included himself in the statement.

I would rather watch a bunch of young guys playing thier butts off and losing than watching this crap. Get rid of Dirk, Howard, Kidd, Terry and Stackhouse. Trade them for picks and youth and lets at least watch some guys with a future instead of this downward spiral.

Yes to all of these posts. Something drastic needs to happen. Cuban knows it. I'm sure he talks with Dirk about it. Dirk tells him the problems of no team-work. Now the only question is is what Cuban will do about it. Trades are coming people.
