Did anyone else see the potential impact that he had on this team last night?

He has taken Stacks place as Singleton has taken Diops. I like this lineup 100 times better

Stack is addition by subtraction.

As far as Williams, he played 13 min and got 4 pts, 7 rebounds and 1 blk. That is way more than Stack can dream of. That said, it is only 1 game and I want to see more before getting too high on him.

Please tell me that this is a joke okay?
James Singleton is playing Backup CENTER???
This guy is 6'8", 230 lbs and is plaing CENTER??
Over Diop??
He is a SF or even a PF but definately not a C.
A lineup with Bass and Singleton gets crushed inside and on the Boards

It could be a possibility that they are putting Williams, Singleton and Bass on display for a possable SG or C upgrade trade.

If Singleton and Williams continues to play like that, I would think about a Diop-Bass for Milicic trade to add offense at the backup 5 while getting a 2010 cap friendly contract.

Dampier / Milicic / (Dirk)
Nowitzki / Singleton / (Williams)
Howard / Williams / George
Green / (Terry) / Wright
Kidd / Terry / Barea

Sheed would cost way too much. Milicic is a slight upgrade to Diop and a better contract. We may lose Bass at the end of the year and if he continues to play the way he has thus far, I would not want to give him a multi-year MLE deal.

Milicic is teh suck.
Even if it was for cap relief, I dont want him on the team.
Rasheed is a better suit, plus he comes off the books pretty soon... Whether Dallas makes a good trading partner for Rasheed is another story

Detroit is banking on Iverson and Wallace coming off the books next year. The best we can hope for is some sort of S&T next year. Rasheed Wallace just is not happening. And quite honestly, I don't want a jumpshooting PF and a jumpshooting C on the same team, especially if it involves a long contract.

Man i dont wanna trade this guy he has talent and if he stayed in college this would be his rookie year...
I think he will get better as the year goes on and being able to play with dirk josh and kidd can take pressure off this guy i think we can see big things from he and green later in the year
Green is still having a hard time on the defensive end and you can tell hes fairly immature still even though hes my age
I think they will get better im down for gettin a shooting guard but it would have to involve bass stack for like mobley and someone else
or whatever...a 2 thas in their early early 30s or just turned 30 with an expiring contract by 2010
i think we will get better as the year progresses we should be a team fighting for the last 2 playoff spots for sure

I don't understand all of the hype about player who has one good game.

If the Mavs are banking on guys like Williams, Singleton, Green and Wright, they should be taking the rebuild route.

I'm all for showcasing them as pieces for a future trade but we are going nowhere this season if our fate is in the hands of these guys.

Make that 2 good games for Shawne williams and unlike green hes doing it defensively man this is the first time i think we have had multiple defeders who are versatile like Williams, Singleton, George and Howard

i like willams cuz of he is fundamentally sound when it comes to the defensive end i think his offense will come....man he blew a layup where he was WIDE open and it was one of the few good passes dirk has made

The again Green did a decent job on a "HURT" Tmac right? i didnt get to see much of the first half

If only we could morph Wiliam's size and defense with Greens athletic ability and offense and Wright ability to fould without the "and 1"

I think Green has been very good on defense. Maybe he has made some team defense mistakes but his individual defense has been really good. I want him to play with the same intensity against a scrub as he does against Kobe/TMac. The Mavs maybe wanted to challenge him and I thought he was really good against both those guys. I know TMac was not at full strength but Kobe certainly was and he was good against him.

Dallas needs to give all the backup SF/PF minutes to Williams/Singleton.

Trade Stack/Bass/Diop for an improvement at SG or C.
