I don't think it's enough as I doubt they want Diop's salary.

On another note, it looks like the Bobcats and Clips are up to something involving Kaman and JRich.

I'm wondering if we could get in on that deal somehow.

Maybe Kaman to Bobcats, J-Rich to Dallas, and Bass, Green, Stack, Williams to Clips.

Kidd/Terry
J-Rich/Wright
Howard/George
Dirk/Singleton
Damp/Diop

Whoops...forgot about the Randolph trade. They wouldn't have much interest in Bass or any other players on our roster.

This was something that came to me quickly as soon as the deal for Randolph was finalized. As usual though, Dallas ends up coming up short on throwaway talent (without severely altering the core of the team) to make the trade work.

I do agree that the Mavs need someone who can score in the paint consistently. The problem is, big guys who can do that are at a premium in this league because there's so few of them, and that's why, someone like Eddy Curry, if you can live with his mistakes, is probably the best you can do. This is also why I think the team will have to do with Dirk at center and Bass at PF. Yes, it opens up other issues rebounding and defensively, but I think rebounding and defense can be fixed on short term situations by player effort, which is not the case with jumpshots. You miss shots, the only way you can start making them and get in a groove is by continuing to take more shots.

Basically, stick with Kidd/Terry/Howard/Dirk/Damp as normal late in games/crucial times in games if the shots are going in. If they stop going in, get Bass in there to give this team some sort of low post option.

I don't think the shooting guard of the Marvs need to be a offensive weapon.
So George shoul dbe just fine.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
