DAL-IND (Howard-Granger swap)

Post#1 » by TAKE A TIMEOUT » Mon Dec 15, 2008 1:15 pm

Dallas Mavericks
Incoming Players
Danny Granger
Travis Diener
Rasho Nesterovic
Jamaal Tinsley

Indiana Pacers
Incoming Players
Josh Howard
Jerry Stackhouse
DeSagana Diop
Jose Juan Barea

Why for Dallas?
Carlisle are high (very high) on Granger. He said, Granger will be a superstar. We also get a good but overpaid backup PG (Tinsley) and a expiring C (Nesterovic) who can score.

Why for Indiana?
Granger has said that he is tired of losing. The Pacers gets fair value for him (howard) and some cap relief (Stacks and JH contracts expires in 2010 and the first one is only 2$ mill guaranted next year). The Pacers will lose Rasho next summer and with this trades they get a young C at decent price.

i would love it.
but i doubt the pacers would jump on it. granger is much younger than howard and already plays better.
i wish we'd still have harris. imagine harris ang granger on the same team.

Pacers trade away their prized possession because he's "tired of losing" and gift him to the Mavs? And Howard for him is fair value? Wow.

Why on God's green earth would we trade Danny?? (I'm a Pacer's fan) Thius trade scenario doesn't even make sense.

We trade a good citizen's hard nosed player, who is realizing his upside, for a guy who disses the National Anthem, talks about his weed smoking, and has shown that his team can win without him.

There's wishful thinking, then there is just being silly.

i would like that trade. Granger will be a superstar, Ford is a good PG, i love his ballhandling( like him more than Barea) and i would love to see Rasho here. He is good especially at defense, he plays very well for our country,he showed us many times, that he can be very usefull..

It would take Dirk to get Granger. Howard is not close.
