Kuzma would be fine,he even tweeted the Mavs are a player away from contending (might have been talking about himself),but the price tag might be too steep...the Wizzards know Mavs are desperate, akings also like him, maybe someone else, and they're gonna start a bidding war

His contract gets lower as it goes on. We may not have much choice. If he can he had, I think we have to pull the trigger...especially if we can get him for a package around that 2027 1st, Williams, Green, Prosper. I hate to give up the youth and even Grant williams, but a 4 with his lenght and ability to create off the dribble makes us very dangerous --if we can also sure up the back up center. Its kind of hard to pass up on unless there are smaller moves we can make. If we get Kuzma, I would just take umbrage in the fact that we have a 6'9 guy out there with another athletic guy in Jones....I would take my chances and hope for the best on defense and scheme well.

Please don't touch Kuzma if it costs any picks. The guy is not good, I live in this DC area and watch him night after night, he's an empty stats nobody

I don’t understand why they aren’t focusing on finding a player who is impactful on defense. Do they not see the difference that Lively makes when on court. We need more of that. Scoring isn’t the problem and if they don’t like the offense and that’s the issue, get rid of the current coach for a coach that can actually run an offense.

Damn near feels like we are destined to keep up the revolving door with not much improvement.

What do we think about trying to land Herb Jones?

Nobody here wanted Gordon before the Denver trade because his salary, i remember this very well.
Now it's easy to said

Of course he would be perfect here but find a former #4 pick who played like first guy in his previous team and ended up to a glue guy for a contender it's nearly impossible... Great move by Nuggets.

Don't feed the troll and his ravings

I did, always been a fan of his play and thought he was just asked to do too much in ORL. But sadly I don't run our FO

Isn’t that why they wanted Siakam? Also isn’t that why they have also been rumored to be interested in Isaiah Stewart and Daniel Gafford?

Would be an ideal target. Don't see what we have that would entice New Orleans though

Charlotte seems in heavy seller mode... PJ is still my reality target.

Agreed, won't resolve our defensive our rebounding issues but at least it's a clear upgrade at the 4.

Posturing...
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Read on Twitter

It's true and i'm totally agree.
Sell high 1 time in your life Cuban. Just 1 **** time.

18+4+2 with 36% from 3 playing for a PO team.
No lottery team.
Legit 6th man of the year candidate.

If Kuzma worths 2 FRPs why not THJ?

I don't think anyone will pay so much for him but it's not the point of discussion.

If this is the tweet then it's clearly false, the tweeter just made it up and tagged known contributors.

Yeah,I think its false...THJ is playing good,he would help a contender, but I doubt anybody is giving one,let alone two first round picks for him

Suddenly everyone is looking for two 1st picks for their role players.

On another note, has Jack Fisher ever been correct with his reporting? @Mavrelous, you would probably know?

I mean considering the demands for some Players by the teams Mavs should ask for a first for THJ...he is a 6th Man candidate and his contract only runs thru next season

He has been, yes, but I don't think he has any real inside knowledge, he's just like the vets on the trade board, knows each team MO, needs and assets, knows how trades work so he just throws suggestions, he's right once in 10-15 times.

If Brooklyn is asking for 2 FRPs for DFS who has no particularly outstanding significant skillset whatsoever then THJ should be worth 4 FRPs based on the fact that he actually is an efficient scorer this year and a legit 6th man of the year candidate.

It's deadline week and everyone is asking for the sky, Mavs searched and searched for someone to pay 1 1st for DFS and couldn't find, he really didn't do anything to raise his value.
