Well if this is true who are the likely candidates to trade a pick to Dallas? Brooklyn has 4 FRP’s (#8, #19, #26, and #27) and they have a 2nd (#36). It’s not likely that they draft and keep 5 players. I don’t know if they can get #8 from Brooklyn but I would think #19 can be had.
San Antonio at #14, or OKC at #15 could be had too I would think. Minnesota could be looking for a veteran instead of adding a guy drafted at #17.

Re: Dallas Mavericks 2025 Trade thread -- Roster and Cap
ATL: Gafford, #26
(out: Niang, #22)
BRK: Hardy, #21, 2030 PHI 2nd (via DAL)
(out: #26, #27)
CHI: Martin, Marshall, #27
(out: Lonzo, Smith)
DAL: Sexton, Ball, Smith, #22
(out: Gafford, Caleb, Marshall, Hardy, 2029 LAL 1st, 2030 PHI 2nd)
UTA: Niang, unprotected 2029 LAL 1st
(out: Sexton, #21)
•draft Walter Clayton Jr. at #22
•re-sign both Dwight Powell and Dante Exum at the min vet
•sign a vet wing for the min.
•then Mavs are 41.45M below the 2nd apron, that gives us enough room to re-sign Kyrie (I expect something like 3/123)
Lively / Smith / Powell
Davis / Washington / Prosper
Flagg / Christie / min vet wing
Thompson / Ball / Exum
Irving / Sexton / Clayton
(out: Niang, #22)

You'd better draft Rashad Fleming instead of yet another guard unless you're a big Powell fan.

There are some teams that are desperate for a center. NOLA and ATL.
You enter a season without a center, might as well not play at all. So these guys might be willing to swap talent for Gaff.

Please no to Sexton. He is not a good or winning basketball player. The undersized SG's who dont have PG skills really are a waste of a roster spot
