I dont think we can put the Mavs that high with Ky being out and our 54 million dollar man being Day to Day

He has a massive chip on his shoulder, I think he'll play at least 65 games.

DId something happen in the summer or do you mean that he was traded? If the latter, not sure I agree since he played all of one half before yet again missing a long stretch

The whole trade and fanbase response to it, he was used to be celebrated by the fanbase that got him (NOP and LAL) to being mourned and considered terrible return...
I wastched AD a lot with LAL, his 1st half against the Rockets is the best game I saw him play, he tried so hard, he injured himself.

The Western Conference is stacked. It takes a team developing from within to success. It's no longer relying heavily on few players and thinks it's over. It's not. In a conference like that, even OKC can't guarantee a repeat upcoming seasons. I kinda think Lively being able to play like Wemby, Chet and Jokic would be a huge leap for the whole team. Christie being able to play like that first couples of game since the trade is also huge. As physicality is the major tools for teams to win the tempo game, the team should strive for the goal. The big lineup haven't earned the respect from the whole league just yet. But in case it's done, this is a new revolutionary change in the basketball world.

I expect the Mavs to go small at times and change the pace. That's why Gafford and smaller combo guard Brandon Williams could play dividend. I also expect a breakout season from Klay as a Mavs.

It's hard to imagine a world where PJ is not a starter. If what Kidd said is true, i would expect Flagg to play point forward, which means either Klay or DLo won't be starting. But there is still so many variables in play (a trade as well), that it's hard to say anything who's going to start. I think Kidd will do what he was doing so far, will use 80% of the season to experiment with lineups lol...

Agreed with Mav. Also I don't think we can afford to lose Klay or DLo shooting in our starting lineup.
If PJ stays, imho he will come off the bench, still play starter minutes (~30MPG), and close games.

Yea Klay and probably D-Lo will cry up an entitled storm if they dont get to start. Both those guys have a much higher valuation of themselves than 99.99% of people who watch basketball.

How do you all feel about Max Christie? I thought he might have a shot at starting because he also plays good defesne, wish we still had him, most if not all Laker fans liked him and want him back.

He played great with Ky, kind of fell off a cliff when Irving got injured. But Christie def deserves to start over Klay. I think Dallas' best course (besides trading AD which they wont do), is to trade Gafford for the best available guard. Then trade Klay for a backup 5 to replace Gaff. Preseason should be an open competition for the starting guards spot.

Klay and DLo as starting guards? Perimeter defense is going to be outstanding :D Bigs will have a lot of work to do.
