Congrats people for the win.
Luka is a lot off the bench. I'm sure that's the tip of the iceberg of the energies he brings to his teammates. He's infectious.
And after this stretch, I hope he finds reasons not to carry so much weight in attack, and to speculate more with his teammates threats when he returns.

I don't completely understand what you are saying here but... i think you mean he shouldn't try to carry so hard? Luka used to be 2nd now he is 3rd in the NBA in potential assists at 17 per game. He was close to 20 some time ago. He's doing more than enough by trying to get everyone involved.
Also keep in mind, Mavs don't shoot like this every single game, they NEED his offense as well as KP's. THJ and Curry haven't been shooting always like this either. Now Mavs have the luxury of having at least one of them produce big numbers every game. But to say Luka has to tone it down is a huge mistake. He is who he is and Mavs are not this good by coincidence.

Keep in mind that Bucks also won't shoot this bad every single night either. Mavs played good defense but Bucks also missed a ton of open shots. If you would watch every single Mavs game, you'd notice that they still badly needed Doncic's offense in the past 2 games for various reasons.

No I just say it's good the rest of the team gets rivals respect, and Luka speculates with it.
I'm not saying they win means they don't need Luka to win or something like that, but I do think Luka sometimes tries too difficult shots or plays.
And maybe because he is not so confident on them, or maybe because rivals don't respect them.
I'm aware Luka gives many assists, but I think they should move more the ball and feint more than Luka sometimes does.

And I'm sure they still do. Unfortunately for them, I think Luka has convinced him to stick around for a while.

Excellent win.
We may have a special player in Luka but we must learn to exist without him. I'm proud of how our team performed as a 11 point underdog.

I dont remember anyone wanted Carlisle to be fired. There was a lot of criticism however and it was warranted. Most of the criticism was about his rotations and messing with lineups. When he finally settled on something the Mavs started playing much better and winning. If Carlisle kept messing with the team then he would deserve to get fired after the season as we now have empirical proof that what he was doing was not working and those of us who criticised his coaching were absolutely correct.

They will have to win more games, because it looks he will be out at least 2 more weeks.

You're kidding right? There have been people here calling for his head for the past 5+ seasons.

As far as changing lineups. Expect that every year to start the season when there is as much turnover as we have had. He will keep changing things until he finds the right balance of offense and defense on both the starting lineup and the bench unit.

I was talking about this season exclusively. You could have identified this easily by actually reading my post where I was referring to Carlisle messing with rotations and starting lineups at the start of the season.
