Bobito knocking down back to back threes!

Feron Hunt looks athletic and capable of developing into a decent back up PF (4/3).

Pretty fun game. Utah resting pretty much their 5 best, mavs starting guys playing 15 min and resting dfs burke powell frank. Always fun to see those young guys playing for their future. Jones most impressive i think, and hunt maybe. But overall just a chill game to watch since so many rested.

Feels like... i want more rosterspots. Oh, and liked what reggie and sterling did even if they also barely got minutes. I would boot burke and terry right away tho, that jones guy proved more this game then terry done in all his time here. Felt very.....bareaish haha

Carlik Jones is another 6'1" PG. Brunson, Burke, Terry is too many little guys already. So I would have liked to see Jones' minutes go to players who have a chance of making an actual contribution in the season. :P

My thoughts on some of our players first games:

Luka: Looked like his usual. He's much more ready for the start of this season then he was last season.

KP: Had 2 great blocks but seemed to struggle closing out to shooters whenever there was a 2 big lineup. Offensively, he seemed to be utilized quite similarly to how Rick used him the last 2 seasons and camped out at the 3 pt line most of the time.

Bullock and Sterling: Both looked good and active. When both of them were on the court, they disrupted the Jazz offense quite a bit in the 3rd quarter. They both hit 3s and Sterling had a big dunk that showed he has some athleticism too.

Moses: Started off well when Luka was spoon feeding him but looked a lot worse in the 2nd half. His hands looked good, finished well but had serious issues closing out to the 3 point line as Utah played small most of the game unless Azubuike was in.

Josh Green: Looked bad offensively. Was disruptive defensively but offensively he looked like a liability.

Camp Invites: Carlik Jones looked confident and like he belonged. Feron Hunt also looked good. Had good athleticism and made some plays. Looked like a young DFS when he didn't have a shot before. The others didn't really stand out to me.

Nothing has changed. KP looks the same and Green far the worst player on the court, he just isn't a basketball player. I hope Kidd stops playing KP in 4, because he's useless there.

Bullock looked very good and Luka in much better condition than last year at the beginning of the season.

Please, please, please can Kidd realise that KP at the 4 is beyond stupid!

Bullock's release is quick, but pretty low, we'll need to watch closer during the season against real defense.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

My guess is that Kidd doesn't know what to do with so many 5s in the roster and tries to be creative, which unfortunately won't work.

I am expecting you to stay up in Denmark(Sweden, for some reason I thought you were in Denmark?) to watch the Mavs against the Jazz tonight.

I know leo will be monitoring every Luka move. While KhalilS will find some time off his busy schedule discussing covid and vaccines to watch highlights tomorrow.

2021 season starts tonight.

Ofcourse im up:). Woke up at midnight

You are more motivated than me. I was excited, then put the game on and it suddenly dawned on me that I'll
watch enough basketball in the next few months, so I should just watch a film instead of preseason. :)

KP is the most interesting player to monitor this year, considering that it's pretty much his last chance to become a real impact player. He's 26 and he doesn't have an injury excuse. I'm down on him, but I hope he proves me wrong in the next few months and this team can get to the 2nd round at least.

I'm trying to be really positive, but I'm scared that it's going to be much of the same with KP and THJ. Banking on them to be able to create their own shots doesn't make me feel that great. But who knows? Maybe it will happen.

Yes. Definitely frustrating that it feels we're watching the same movie all over again. Not able to make any major moves to change the roster. We reply on the same guys to somehow make a jump.

Will be available tomorrow vs. Clippers.

Porzingis isn't a 4 the roster construction is just so terrible with all these centers and all these 2/3s with the same ability and no versatility

I'm really happy that Luka seems in better shape than he was at any point last year. It was sad to see him at the start of last season. I'm feeling confident that he'll be even better this year.

But yeah, that KP play at 4:11 is classic KP trying to create his own shot.... I can't wait for him to change my mind and that he's not just a catch and shoot guy. Because it feels like once gain Luka will have to do way too much for this team.

Just watched

KP has been quite good this 1st half against the Clips. His defense particularly.

Omaruyi was amazing today. Hustled his butt off, seems like a smart guy and really impacted the game. Someone mentioned the Brandon Bass comparison which I think is on point.

Is he more Brandon Bass or Draymond Green?

I see more Bass but with better passing but I can see the Draymond comparisons too. Either way, he was really good this game and likely solidified his spot as at least the two way contract.

I'd be happy if he is a lot of both.
Seems quicker and more aggressive than Bass but not as naturally skilled as DG.
Seems like his ceiling is a lot higher than expected.

Thing is, on the court he looks almost as wide s he is tall, beefy af. But out of the court the guy looks more normal. I cant see how they dont change his contract, if possible? Completly fearless, like, u trying to make an nba roster. Uget in a bad situation. How many non drafted, or even drafted, tries to pass off the backboard to himself and almost make it? And he got nice courtvision, done some great passes those games. And the maybe best thing, he finds space down low. All of a sudden he is just alone below the basket.

And top that off with him wanting to be a lawyer as he said after the game and plan to keep studying for that while playing. Smart dude, terry should be really worried about being cut. Also, im more for trading for dragic now if it means a 3 for 1. Several of those players can fill the last spot. Hunt didnt really get into it today but were good last game. Heard he dunked from the ft line in warmup or something last game. Frank got some fouls, some right, some wrong. But dude is fast and had blocks and should have had atleast had 1 more steal when he knocked it on his own foot and out of bounds.

Lucky that luka didnt die of laughter when green tried a long alley oop to moses and the pass ended up on like the tenth row.
