Luka played one quarter and had the most points (tied) on the team. That should tell you everything you need to know when it comes to the talent level of this team.

How did Spurs get Duncan again?
How did 76ers get Embiid again?
How did OKC get so many young talents again?

Wake up. We are not the first team and the only team who does something like this.

Spurs Don't exactly remember how the spurs got duncan ( but I doubt we will get anyone as good as goat of PF's)

How long did the 76ers process take? They got one player after drafting Noel, Okafor, Fults, Simmons and they got the benefit of Joel sitting out two years.

OKC haven't drafted a super star yet, they got a few role players( I might say good role players) the verdict is still out on them...

Your argument is true if we end up drafting a bum, which could turn out to be true.

Your argument will be extremely false if we somehow get lucky and get a young star with this pick.

For that I choose to be hopeful. Time will tell.

I support the Mavs even when they are a joke of the league at the moment.

What are we supposed to do? Kill ourselves or support the other teams?

Nah. I'd rather Mavs to get a pick and start over again, at least there's some hope on top of the current pile of poo poo. So yeah. We are negative for thinking like this.

So you could watch one more game and convince yourself we are fine the way it is. The fact that we are in play in is good enough. At least we are better than Portland. Right?

Oh it's not the playoffs it is the play in. You have to be in top 8 to be in the playoffs, or it's the same thing.

Really??? Obviously but you still playing to make playoffs...
Bahahaha playing to make the playoffs.

Mavs are better than 4 teams in the west... FOUR!!!

Well there is no choice now! Hopefully we get a stellar player that will improve our weakness either a Center or Guard that can defend.

Yet they're separated by like two games... 6 to 12 is not much of a difference.

The verdict isn’t out on OKC, in my opinion. They just made the play in and Holgrem didn’t play a single game this season. They have cap space and many, many picks to trade. I think they’ll be a four seed or higher in several seasons. Giddey, Dort, and Williams is a solid core and SGA ended up being a brilliant trade.

Philly whiffed on Okafor and Noel, but Embiid has been an MVP candidate for the last several seasons, Simmons was an all star caliber player before he got injured, and they gave up on Fultz way too soon (he’s been great for Orlando). So they got three out of five right.

It's not that hard to understand the logic that knowing when to fold in a poker game is actually the wise move than calling with every hand to remain competitive, but the latter actually gives you less return in a long run.

OKC is defiantly in a great position, once they pair someone with SGA they will be a problem.

76ers only got lucky with Embiid all others were I believe first and second picks outside Noel... and turned to be busts. Yes Fultz can make a comeback but right now he wasn't worth a top pick.

It’s actually better to pick down some in the lottery because a lot of time that is where the value is. Look at the Williams kid that OKC drafted at 12 last year. He’s averaging 14 a game as a rookie and plays big minutes for them. The French kid is the consensus number one pick in this draft, but after that everything is a crap shoot.

Another good thing about all this is Kidd is making it sound like a full house cleaning is coming. How far that goes we will see but they know this team is bad.

Mavs arent drafting someone to use him. Mavs will probably use that pick to trade along with the 2027 pick to get a 3&D guy. Time for Nico to scout the draft now.

If they land the 10th pick higher, they can trade his draft rights to someone. Plus the 2027 pick and maybe Josh Green. So that's essentially 3 FRPs.

Williams was a great pick for them, he was one of the best rookies. Still gonna be interesting what Holmgren brings next season.

Reggie Bullock was the king of the tank. -27 with him in the game.

Also the first thing I noticed. Any team with him and Powell starting is simply not NBA level.

IMO this is the guy to blame. Him and Powell in the starting lineup wont work. Empty possessions. Stick with Luka, Kyrie, Green, then change those two. Or replace Green with THJ and it still works on some lineups.

How do you out tank the Spurs? We shall see tomorrow.

Start Theo Pinson at point guard and give him hush hush instructions to go 2 for 30 from three.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
