As per annual tradition of Mavs screwing over their season ticket holders, the Adelsons family increasing Mavs prices by as much as 50% for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Doing away with Loyalty Pricing

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1avl8jv/as_per_annual_tradition_of_mavs_screwing_over/

It's a sell out crowd, they can increase the price and still sell out, but 50% is excessive, I think they may discover that Dallas is in fact Cowboys town if they overplay their hand.

Orrr.....Maybe new owners are preparing to pay deep tax bills with the new CBA and started charging more money because they already paid billions to Cuban :D

They have said that they want a winner. In fact they NEED a winner if they plan to build that big new casino arena. No way the taxpayers approve a new arena if they suck or if they lose Luka.

If they keep up with this roster and keep adding meaningful veterans around, Mavs should be a contender, top 3 seed next year. That may justify the ticket price increase.

I loved Cuban in the 2000s, I was also younger and his energy and flashy and controversial way of managing things fit my younger mind, he also turned heaven and earth to make this team better, it was never a question of effort or willingness with him back then. I'm older now, and his shtick got old and the organization needed stability and professionalism, reading this interview, I can't help but sense he feels the same way, even though he doesn't like it.

Touche. Will always appreciate how he got Mavs out of a gutter, but his personality, ego, and meddling grew tiresome

He paid for teams that could fill the seats but lacked so much. Back in the day on here so many of us knew, if we could get Tyson Chandler, he could be our missing piece. Failing his physical with OKC was everything.

Cuban was great to the fans. However, Dirk needed more, and he never fully received Cubans best effort. Maybe I stand alone....

I love to see him just like a fan.
He was a disaster after the 2011.

I’ve been a Mavs fan since long before Cuban bought the team and I will always appreciate Cuban for helping to make the Mavs relevant again. Not just to make them a good team but to make them relevant. I do agree though that his schtick had grew tiresome and the franchise needed a change. So far so good.

I apologize to Cuban.

He went cheap after 2011, he made very bad decisions after the title, he screwed Dirk last years.

But he would never do such a thing.
He was a passional owner with ups and downs, with strengths and weaknesses but he is a Mavs fan.

I'm a moron. That's it.
I'm ashamed.

Pretend you don't know anyone in the picture and the picture is from a movie, and the movie trailer says there is only one good guy in the picture, the other two are blood sucking devils.

Who would you pick as the good guy?

I think it's literally writing all over the place, they have got the villain look from the get go.

Cuban declined to comment when reached by ESPN, saying it wasn't his team anymore.

Cuban will not speak ill about his new business partners. There is a lot of money on the line and he will not risk all of that.

Mark is a used car salesman. Always has been. People liked him because he loved the team and loved Dirk and Mark would probably have been a fun guy to have a beer with during that era.

Mark was also the most overrated owner in the league. And this sports nightmare started when Mark brought in Vegas Bob (LOL LOL LOL LOL) and forced out a legit GM and brought in a shoe salesman to be his GM.

Mark Cuban, not the smartest guy in the room. Used car salesman, good at spinning everything in a direction that benefits Mark.

This scourge is also on Mark since he is the one who brought the Nike shoe salesman Nepotism Nico here

For those that are interested this is an interesting interview from a writer for D Magazine in Dallas. He interviewed Mark about why he chose to sell to the Adelson family. Also more about them not moving the team out of Dallas.

If Cuban has a heart still, he should buy the team back. He is directly responsible to hand Mavs to Satan.

Unfortunately he doesn’t have the kind of money to be successful in today’s NBA.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
