Rivers is the most overrated coach on earth.
Monty is an average one.

It was the fakest ring in revcent years, Bucks were on their way to be swept when Giannis undercut Kyrie and he twisted his ankle, the rest is history...

Fake or not he coached 10 times better than Kidd that team and won a ring... the rest is just guesswork.

Kidd is a Mark Jackson type, the coach you have to fire for win a ring. Fact.

So tell me then, what will be the reasoning for Mavs not making playoffs, if that happens? Contenders with Luka and low lottery team without him?

Don't you think that good defensive team, should be, with Mavs roster, good enough in offensive side to survive being 1.5 months without Luka and not completely meltdown?

Mavs would have been a wimning team witb Kyrie and Exum.
It's the fact that all 3 PGs are out that's causing the meltdown, not just Luka.

Then everything is ok, Kyrie should be back in one week and Mavs will return to winning streak.

We don't know that, bulging disk is scary, though Kyrie is small and light weight.
With Kyrie back in a week, Mavs can win 50% of the games and Mavs can realistically keep the 6th seed.

I'll give you Kyrie but Exum??...C'mon now,be serious...he was unplayable in the playoffs, like Maxi...besides,Exum is not a PG who runs a team...he's one that just brings the ball up and gives it away

Exum was legit 20 MPG backup guard in RS, with Luka out, this is a great help.
Exum can give the ability to not run Kyrie to the ground 40 MPG when Luka is out.

They also need a coach to play defense...
Kidd took a rotation of
Luka, Brunson, Dinwiddie -- guards
DFS, Bullock, Green -- wings
Powell Maxi -- bigs
to be top 6 defense in the league.

Very few coaches could do that, Mavs were top 5 defesne last year after ASB.

Easy, when you turn it over, and miss badly, you're constantly cross matched on D and taken advantage of.
That's just an educated guess from previous games, I didn't bother watching this game, only condensed highlights.

I hope he is a good defensive coach, at least he is not completely useless.

But be a good coach or a brillant one is a very different thing. But "tastes" are not questionable so ok.
we don't agree.

And Dinwiddie was a legit starter on a team that got to WCF... Exum was ok last year in RS but unplayable in the playoffs...what makes you think he'd be a value now that there's no Luka and Kyrie... Exum wouldn't move a needle, especially after being out for so long

What makes me think? What I saw just last year, Dinwiddie was cooked long before he came back...
Just to be clear, I don't think Exum alkne w/o Luka and Kyrie make the Mavs a winning team, Kyrie and Exum together do.

Agree to disagree...Hardy was getting minutes in playoffs and Exum wasn't.... Kidd lost faith in him...don't think he'd play him....seems like his confidence got shatered in the playoffs, don't think he'd be more than a fringe(end of game) player
