DAL receives: Josh Green + FRP DAL 27 FRP
CHA receives: Gafford + FRP 28 FRP (worse of OKC and DAL)

DAL gets the coveted DAL 27 FRP back. Daoneandonly probably goes nuts since Green would be back but he's really just there for filler.

CHA gets a good C in Gaff that fits very well with their guards. They get off of Green's bad contract. They also still get a FRP back in exchange for the 27 FRP, albeit, it wil be OKC's pick which will be end of the 1st round in all likelyhood. In this trade, CHA bets on DAL keeping AD, a healthy Kyrie, and a sophomore leap from Flagg next year making DAL a playoff team in 27 and therefore the 27 FRP not being as valuable.

So basically Gaff for a FRP swap of years? And we have to pay Street Clothes 3.0 $28.2 over the next 2 seasons? What is your logic behind this?

IMO, Gaff is worth MUCH more than that.

Agreed crazy af trade and why the **** would our 2026 pick be so coveted? Unless we have both Kyrie and AD out until April that is unlikely to be a Top10 pick probably not even a lottery pick.
**** giving up a guy that can probably get you a FRP on his own for a pick swap.

This is the 27 pick back not 26, and I'd gladly have the insurance of 27 pick over Gafford, who is a nice center to have but doesn't move the needle.
We have this season as a clear proof, AD is a center, team looks great with him at center, and terrible with him at PF, Lively and Powell are fine as backups
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Street clothes trade value will be higher later or soon, just wait for 10/15 straight games played. Keep calm.

Klay will be an expires next year so not so untradable, he will lights out from the bench and maybe we can attack dead body Martin to him to trade for something younger (and better for us).

Gafford is a good back-up energy C, he was almost unplayable in PO. I'm not so high on him honestly and if we find a good trade i'll pull the trigger.

I mean if someone gives you an offer you can't refuse, of course you trade Gaff. If we're not going to tank, however, he's worth a lot to this team this year. I don't expect DLive to be returning.
Nico definitely got rid of the dry powder.

Yes, he can be good as street clothes back-up...

Exactly that - he’s on a friendly ish contract and teams like the Lakers and many others would massively benefit from him. So if the price is right it’s worth considering but absolutely not for a frp swap.

Trade value for players like Gafford is very variable and depends on many factors.

We are not in win now mode, we don't need a quality backup C..i don't say to trade him for a FRP swap or expires of course.

You and I are saying the same thing. Let's hope his ankle injury from last night is nothing.

Since the Lakers and Warriors are reportedly goinf after Herb Jones, now's a good time to package Lively and filler IMO. Coop's best spot will be an NBA 4. AD is a 5 no matter what anyone says, argue with a wall. Herb is a great POA defender and a starting caliber 3. He's still young. I think you need to make that move.

Have Klay, PJ, Gaff and DLo come off the bench

Generally always liked him but he’s now 27 and arguably playing his worst season so far - not sure, feels like another Caleb Martin
