Dallas needs to win Game 2 if they don't win game two, then I don't know how their going to beat MIA in game 5 or 6.

And if Dirk don't get this ring (( which he deserves)) I'm going to shake my head at this Dallas team, and Dirk. I know its one game but I'm just giving my honest opinion about this exp team. I just hope game 2 Dallas comes back strong, and fighting the next day.

Yep, a lot of our offensive firepower comes from the bench and they didn't show up tonight

... and

Mavs starting 5 comitted 10TO.

Chandler got only 4reb.

Dirk made only 38.9FG%.

Mavs allowed 16 offensive reabound.

Mavs had no answer against BIG3.

Every players were awful.

I'm a Miami fan, but I can tell ya one thing, this isn't the full Mavs team. Caron Butler would have been a difference maker tonight.

The things that didn't make sense to me in this game ....
First and foremost why do we wait till it's to late to start feeding Dirk we should have been doing that the whole 4th quarter
Then freaking Peja, you wait your whole career to get to the finals and this is the piss poor effort you put out.
Carlisle for sticking with him to long what the heck you can't do that in the Finals
I don't think the officiating was as bad as some but that was a crap call on Dirk's strip of Bosh and that was a key point in the game, also how is that Wade can block Marion but yet it's still out on Marion that is bullsh...

All in all I hate it because I hate seeing those douchebag fans and the Heat win but we didn't play well and we were in it for the most part so hopefully we can shape up and get game 2 or this is going to get ugly!

Also, Chandler is being exposed.

How is it that he grabbed only 4 rebounds in 34 minutes?

Haywood grabbed 7 in 14 minutes.

We were outrebounded 46 to 36. How does this happen?

We need to rebound, and we will.

I think Haywood needs to start. No reason why he gets only 14 minutes. He is better at keeping people out of the paint.

Brewer needs some action. At least he can provide some defense if he does not score.

JJ and PEJA need to rebound. 1-11 cannot happen.

Our bench (with the exception of Haywood) was completely destroyed.

Since Game 4 of the Lakers series, Peja is shooting 28% from the field and 23% from Three

DS is shooting 26% from the field and 29% from three, yet they each play 16+ mpg.

These 2 players are holding us back. Marion/Brewer should be getting more mins.

And experience isint an excuse. Neither DS, Peja, Marion or Brewer have been to the Finals.

Heat executed better and came up with too many offensive rebounds. Chandler and Dirk have to become more aggressive. We looked rusty as hell to tell you the truth, where was the fire? We better start playing loose or the Finals are over before they began.

Yeah, you guys didn't play well or shoot well all night and you were in this. The refs were a joke as usual, but how often is the Mavs bench going to be outscored by the Heat bench? Barea and everyone else needs to step up. Peja did nothing either.

Caron aint playing til next year....even if he was activated, he cant help us by being out of game shape. 5 months off the court isint gonna make you ready for the Finals.

We have a capable team, but like RC just said, we need to rebound and be more active. That means we need energy, hustle and fight. And Peja offers none of those qualities. RC needs to realise that.

I don't think there's any question about that I think it's just more frustrating knowing you got a guy who could be like a Marion in guarding LeBron and still be able to provide consistent offense.

So I was right.

Haywood outplayed Chandler once again.
Terry,Barea,Peja all played terribly.

Once again Marion, DIRK, Haywood carried this team. DIRK didn't shoot well from the field but was aggressive.

I think if RC just gave Brewer a chance in Game Two like he did vs the Lakers, he would be pleased. Brewer can run, play defense, shoot the open three, get to the FT line, hes active, he hustles, he gets deflections, he takes charges, hes an energy guy.

NO ONE on the Mavericks team right now, does all of those things. Right now, we need that.

Your offense is fine, you just had a bad night. You scored all playoffs against anyone whenever you wanted. You just had a bad game. You guys rebound after losses well. You've only had 2 in the last 12 games before tonight. That says something.

Yeah, thats pretty much worst case. People and Dirk himself downplay it, but this could pretty much render Dirk's offense predictable. They need to activate Butler and Roddy ASAP, Dirk can't get it done with one hand. Throw everything at them now or never.

I dont see what the major concern is?? Its his non-shooting hand...It wont effect his jumper that much. How is activating Butler and Roddy going to help Dirk? Both those guys are not 100% and havent played in a long time. I agree that Dirk needs help, but 2 players recovering from injury wont help

Maybe I misinterpret the extend of the injury, but raptured means to me he can not control the movement of the middle finger anymore. So much to left handed layups or even post ups to some degree. I cant helpbut think this will limit his impact a great deal. Though I would love to be completely wrong here.

A lineup of Kidd, Stevenson, Marion, and Chandler is not going to work with 80% Dirk IMO.
