Also the first thing I noticed. Any team with him and Powell starting is simply not NBA level.

We played all season with those 2 starters and 30+minutes a game... But the problem was Irving or Luka defense of course

Sometimes I truly believe that only a few of us watched the games... Some pages of this forum are embarassing.

Luka said something about the chemistry not being there yet and Kyrie said somethinf about them going out and having all their families meet. Well, now they got the summer off maybe they get to build on that. Plus Kyrie's got some contacts he can pull for free agency. Hopefully there's something there as well.

Jason Kidd is blaming the roster when asked where he could improve makes me sick to my stomach, I don't think I'll watch next season if he's still the coach.

That's the narrative him and Cuban have been singing all year. Hence I want to see Bullock and Powell swapped to players of their choice, who by their definition would be better fits, so Kidd wont have any excuses next season anymore.

Can’t believe the Mavs are eliminated. It only seemed like a month ago Mavs were a top 6 seed in the west. Boy how quickly things can change.

Proffisional team can't operate like that, this is beyonf asinine.
Cubn is blaming the take foul rule, who is he kidding?
I hope they boycot him in DAL and cut the attendance.

They started tanking after the two Charlotte games to get a top 10 pick.

They started tanking after the two Charlotte games to get a top 10 pick.

I think they semi tanked all season long because they knew they needed to stay near the bottom of the play offs to protect against injuries making a fast rebuild necessary.

Wood was a semi decent player he seemed to play well enough when he was let loose.
McGee did great in a vast majority of his games when he got enough minutes
Hardy showed he was more than we deserved for drafting him in the second round he would definitely go in the lottery in last years draft given what we know now.
Green was treated like he was nothing special earlier in the season as well.

These 4 should have been starting next to Luka on the first day of the season and we should have just took our lumps and developed the team in that direction.

DFS was slow to start the season and not that great on offense but he did defend though it would have been wiser to use him off the bench behind Green since Green is a lot better weapon on offense. I would have used the following lineup on the 2nd team

Din DFS THJ Kleber Powell. Now we traded to get Irving and that is cool I was hesitant to do that but I got excited when he got here but the game he brought to the team showed me it was a great move. I see no indication he is a trouble maker whatsoever in fact I think he is a natural leader and a great example to have your young guys looking up to him.

Guys who definitely need to be gone or traded for others.
POWELL
BULLOCK
both of these losers have never put a good season together that I feel was good enough to make either worth keeping long term and look at how long Cuban has kept Powell around.

GET2 rookies to groom as replacements and see what you can take away from other teams in free agency.

If you can Trade Bullock and others for a bag of chips

You have Bertans and his large expiring contract with 2024/25 season costing you only
$5 mil that you give to a team to take him on and use that plus other prospects to bundle with anyone else and that should help us find a decent player. Of course Cuban may want to spend a lot and keep his expiring himself. A $200 million dollar pay roll would be a good thing if we make the right moves.

Only Keepers I see on the team now are Luka, Irving, Hardy, Green, and Wood. McGee is okay for an off the bench defender that can give you 5 fouls and score inside at a good rate for a center. At his age he is impossible to trade and thank God his contract is not a huge amount of $$$. THJ is also semi decent he has shown he can work hard and produce in games when we need him most of the time so I like that aspect of his game but he can shoot you out of a game by coming into the game too cold.

You add 2 decent rookies who are good enough to start in a season or 2 and you are golden with players that you are not overpaying to play here which expands your opportunity to win rings and develop a long term core.

Grab 1 at SF/PF with your first round pick and add a large center like Zach Edey in the second round and then a few select free agents that might want to come here and that is a solid team you can win with.

Center
Poeltl at center would start day 1 and we may be able to use Zach to back him up right away or McGee if he turns into a bust or needs a bit more seasoning, so grabbing him makes sense since we can gamble on him and recover with other options if he shows us nothing to okay but needs a little time to gel. We could also add Boban again if the rook shows us nothing since Boban is out there as a free agent and he may not get signed anywhere so Luka would love that if we had to do that. Honestly Zach looks like a keeper already and he fouls at a very low rate so chances are that is not a problem with his game.

SF/PF
Jeremy Grant and Draymond are free agents but may be too costly. Cameron Johnson is a better investment if you can steal him and his 45% 3 point shooting.
