Still need a big wing.
I don't have a lot of faith in Maxi keeping up his recent play. And GWill is not working out.

And Maxi played his Best games as a C... not sure he's mobile enough to hang with the PF... he's longer than Grant but equaly slow

I don't believe anyone is as slow as Grant. ;) He's just a very big turtle. People are talking how fat Luka is, but what about Grant, he looks pregnant.

You can't have 2 non shooting bigs together on the court. They would just double Luka and Kyrie nonstop.

Eventually!
My point is more long term because Gaff is a legit starting caliber center and will most likely wont want to backup Lively for his entire career.

Lively can't do anything what Pf should, and he doesn't look like he ever will, and I doubt you want player like him defend the perimeter anyway. He's as classic C as possible. I would say that Gafford is nearer to Pf than Lively.

One of the reasons I was clamoring so hard for the Mavs to draft Lively was because one of his strengths in the scouting reports is his ability to switch out and guard smaller players.
Gafford does not have near the lateral speed and mobility to cover the perimeter like Lively.

Lively has basically mastered the center position, and if he can develop a reliable jumper, the Mavs can experiment with a twin tower frontcourt at least in certain situations like playing SA.

Honestly, I'd be fine with Prosper getting all of GWills minutes the rest of the season.

Word is the FRP is going to the Wizards from OKC. Not sure how exactly that is happening but that’s the word.

Looks like what the Clippers did, super-swap for low 1st.

Exactly.
This or they are looking to split value of the 2027 pick into perhaps 2 firsts (1 late + 1 protected) to make another move for a forward.
Just speculating ofc.

I don't know, something is defending perimeter, when being switched and something totally different doing that constantly. Lively can't shoot at all at the moment, from there to having reliable jumper is mission impossible in most cases.

I believe the best solution is using both on C and if Lively becomes great starting C in few years time, you simply trade Gafford for what you need then.

Hate that we got rid of first still but if we get gafford I won’t feel too bad. Kind of filling out the roster and actually getting talent

So the 1st went to fix the Grant Williams mistake and turn it to PJ Washington, it can't be this 1st.

That sounds a little scary, because Thunder for sure has no initiative to help us.

It's been reported that the reason for his drop of Play is his weight...now people were bashing Luka for being out of shape(which he was), but he still played almost 40 min a game, carrying a heavy load...and Grant can't Play even 25?..like seriously?? you're paid millions, how can you not Play 25 min a game ... it's not like you're tired from practice where you're just doing some light running and shooting

I feel like they did this knowing they got more moves coming. What if we get Dinwiddie after a buyout

Very hefty. On the other hand we have Pf and good backup C now. Team is for sure better, the question is, how much better.

Remember Lively hitting like 21 3 pointers in a row in practice?
I think the skill is there.

Why would Mavs need Dinwiddie?
