Goran has 10/15 minutes of great basketball.

Looks like he recovered nicely from those knee problems and still has a lot left in the tank. He's motivated to start the next NBA season. I think he could be very valuable as a bench leader who could still give you good 20-25 minutes.

Tim MacMahon: JaVale McGee told ESPN that he expects to be Dallas’ starting center. He will reunite with head coach Jason Kidd and assistant coach Jared Dudley, who were part of a Lakers’ title run with McGee.

I would like for us to sign Luka Garza. I can't believe Detroit treated him the way they did.

I think Dragic is the next. Then, Hardy and Bingham. I wonder how the Mavs handle Powell, though.

C - McGee / Kleber / Powell
PF - Wood / Bullock / Bertans
SF - DFS / Green
SG - Dinwiddle / Hardaway
PG - Luka / Dragic / Ntilikina

Pinson and Hardy likely takes the roster spot with Bingham getting TWC.

JaVale is such a good pickup, really happy with his signing. Gives us something we desperately need which is lob threat C that can also rebound and protect the paint. Wood can now play as a stretch big who also helps on boards. Great signing by Nico.

He's off the market now but I wish we pursued him and had him on our team.

Kyle Anderson has agreed to a two-year, $18 million deal with the Timberwolves, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Anderson will be competing with Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaden McDaniels for the starting PF position in Minnesota at camp, but this has the potential to devolve into a value-killing, timeshare situation for all three of the Timberwolves forwards. With SloMo leaving Memphis, and Jaren Jackson Jr. (foot) set to miss the start of the season, Brandon Clarke could begin the year strong in a starting role for the Grizzlies.

From hoops hype.
Frank Ntilikina: No money guaranteed in 2022/23, HoopsHype has learned. His contract becomes fully guaranteed if not waived by July, 4, 2022.

Agreed, would have filled Brunson's role as a secondary playmaker and a much better defender

Apparently it's true that Mavs are after him but how the hell will they achieve that without any money left. Maybe S&T? No clue...

Lots of rumors out there right now. Read that Cleveland is only willing to pay 10 to 12 for him. So the money seems high from this.

There's not a lot of teams the Mavs can trade with. Basically has to be teams that don't expect to make the playoffs, who'd be willing to off-load veterans in exchange for expiring contracts & draft compensation.

One of the top targets for me would be to go back & right a wrong with Seth Curry. If Brooklyn is losing KD & Kyrie, then what use do they have for about to be 32 year old Seth Curry? Seth only has next year left on his contract at $8.5M and then UFA. A 2nd round draft pick could get it done. Dwight Powell and two 2nd round picks probably gets it done. Might have to take back a filler from Brooklyn to make it work. Or, you could even get fancy & swap Davis Bertans for Joe Harris. That would make the salaries work, but would cost you a 1st round pick or two for sure. Having Seth would really take some of the sting away from losing Brunson. Seth already has a rapport with Luka, DFS, Maxi & THJ.

Other possibilities:

UTAH: Mike Conley Jr, Jordan Clarkston
SAC: Harrison Barnes
NOP: CJ McCollum (would require Jaden Hardy and/or Josh Green & multiple 1st round picks i.e. NOP gains more than what they gave up to get CJ)
ORL: Markelle Fultz
INDY: Buddy Hield
CLE: Collin Sexton

Outside of those players, I don't see a lot of other options for the Mavs. Not with their lack of cap space. Maybe mid season would be more realistic. A team that was expected to be better is struggling, disgruntled star wants out & the Mavs can send Jaden Hardy, Josh Green, expiring contracts & 3 future 1st round picks. The problem there is unless Hardy really shines early and/or Josh Green takes a big step forward next season, there will likely be another team that can offer better than the Mavs.
