Raptors are in a slump, if it continues they'll make Siakam available, maybe OG.

The Mavericks for a long time have surrounded Doncic with mostly standstill, spot up shooters that rely on Doncic’s brilliance to score. Those spot up players are certainly valuable considering Doncic’s three point shot creation, but it’s always been clear the team needs a little extra juice on the perimeter. Not necessarily another All-Star, or another playmaker, but just another guy that can attack closeouts, drive and kick, keep the ball pinging from side-to-side, preferably that isn’t a short guard.

Exum is all of that, and his ability to connect between the stars to the other role players jumps off the screen. He pushes the pace well, but isn’t reckless. He can run a pick and roll if you need him, but he really does take advantage of the space created by Doncic and Irving in ways spot up shooters simply can’t.

f(rom Iztok Franco)
2. Exum rim attacks
Mavs won despite shooting only 32% from 3. But they were 18/21 at the rim; Exum drives were key part of that.
Exum was 6/8 at the rim and has 54% rim frequency this season. A fresh breath for a team that's at the bottom of the NBA in rim freq last 5 yrs.

Kidd > Carlisle defensively too probably. I don't know... but feels too embarrassing to give up 123 points to a team that made no 3s.

It's unfathomable really, for the genius and out of the box coach he was offensively how his teams underperform defensively, I couldn't figure how they let Kawhi cook in 21 w/o and semblance of resistance.
BTW, Indy plays Brunce Brown, Neismith and Turner major minutes, and they are supposed to be good defenders, yet...

I am trying to think of a game where Lively was really pushed around. I guess it wasnt against the Lakers (he did have 10 rebounds). But Lively does get moved around a bit easily... but he's been very solid in "his fundamentals" of good body position and arms up.

Lakers looked good in this tournament. Mavs would probably suffer against their size. Will need to shoot sharply from outside to combat them.

Worst game in that manner was the pre-season game, against the Wolves, he was caught with his pants down few time against Sengun, I also can't remeber how he performed against physical bigs like big Val...

You mean this game? Basically Val flopped Lively out of the game. It's sickening how many weak calls Lively gets whistled for. I get it that he's a rookie and needs to learn how to position himself faster and better but he also gets smacked a lot and pushed around but nothing gets called.

Like in this video at 1.14 mark. Val pushing Lively away from the paint and Dereck gets whistled for offensive foul for just standing there lol...

Win next weekend and maybe they can be taken seriously. Eagles should have lost to KC and BUF. Some fluke plays went their way.

Only time i watched Football when I was in the US, was when I was invited to superbowl parties, now I'm gaining interest in it after watching few Mahomes highlights, but it's a really random sport, more than normal Football IMO., anything can happen.

I think if Dante Exum has moved himself in as a starter with Luka ,Kyrie, Lively, then id want DJJ as the bigger wing because of his high flying skillz and still bury 3's.
Bringing GWms ,THJ, Green and Hardy off the bench . It highlights though the need for another player with length ,long length.
Mavs need to consider Bol Bol 7'3 24 y o , Aleksej Pokusevski 7' 21 y o , Harry Giles 6'10 25 y o , Nicola Jovic 6'10 20 y o , or Patrick Baldwin 6'9" 20 y o ,,,,, all better offensive players than defense but the league rules favor offense over defense. Out of all of them I'd take Bol Bol or Poku 1st,
Lets be honest lLvely isnt better than Wemby or Holmgren by skillz ,he has 3 PG's who hit him with passes that allow him to score 70 percent of his shots. Expect the same kind of passes brings out the best in Bol Bol or Poku ......

All western teams in PO contention won yesterday, western seeding will be a bloodbath and whoever flinches will find himself battling for lower play in spot.

What a sad story...
The fact Weaver is still not fired, tells the story of the FO and ownership.

Yea crazy. But they have a darn good player in the making in Ausar. He was one of my faves going in to the draft. Duren is nice, but Cade has been rather disappointing and everyone knew Hayes was a terrible pick the moment they made it.
