Would anyone have any interest in trading the number 1 for both of SA lotto picks? Harper is a stud too and fills an immediate need.

Nah. I don't see the benefit of trading down. San Antonio however does this any day of the week.
I really think Nico pre-made the deal with the condition of getting Flagg. I don't see him trading it unless it's for something crazy.

No way, you can't trade Flagg, especially to SA

San Antonio is also living on borrowed time. No player in the NBA above 7'3 has had a lengthy NBA career.

Ha 2025 has been so depressing. Everyone knows I was the biggest Luka critic, but that trade and how the FO handled it was just brutal. I had to take a huge break away from basketball, and only started watching again after hearing the Lakers got eliminated.

Nope. Just trade AD+ for #2 imho.

Yup. Heck even Phillys #3 or CHA's #4, I'd offer AD for.
AD is a great player but landing Flagg changes things. I'd just rather rebuild around Flagg and get value for AD before it's too late.

Watch for a Gaff to LA for scrubs and the 2031 pick. I'm calling it now.
That will be Gaff for AR15.
That would be a gift to us.
I'm thinking more like Gaff for Vincent/Hayes/2031
Or maybe to make it less obvious,
Gaff/Powell for Vincent/Hayes/Knecht/2031
No way they trade with LA and they don’t get Reaves. Any trade with LA would have Reaves coming to Dallas.

Nico wouldn’t do that. Besides if I was going to trade AD it would be for Giannis.

The Mavs should be look at San Antonio for their PG. they need a tradition big to play next to Wemby. Could Gafford and filler get the Mavs Stephon Castle or De’Aaron Fox?
Or could the Mavs get one of Coby White or Josh Giddey from Chicago?

Re: Official 2025 Draft Thread
He's a phenom. He's so young it may take a year to really get going. He's going to be 18 for the first 2 months of the season.arkuo wrote:You guys think Cooper Flagg has a game that will translate? NBA draft. Net has him as Scottie Pippen. Pippen really? I'm not buying it yet.
So the official trade is Luka and Maxi for AD, Christie, Flagg and a 1st rounder.

My biggest fear is that Flagg is from Duke. They have a history of draft busts:
Shelden Williams, F — 2006 NBA Draft, 5th overall to Hawks
Jahlil Okafor, C — 2015 NBA Draft, 3rd overall to 76ers
Jabari Parker, F — 2014 NBA Draft, 2nd overall to Bucks
Trajan Langdon, G — 1999 NBA Draft, 11th overall to Cavaliers
Nolan Smith, G — 2011 NBA Draft, 21st overall to Trail Blazers
Tate Armstrong, G — 1977 NBA Draft, 13th overall to Bulls
William Avery, G — 1999 NBA Draft, 14th overall to Timberwolves
Cherokee Parks, F — 1995 NBA Draft, 12th overall to Mavericks
Danny Ferry, F — 1989 NBA Draft, 2nd overall to Clippers
Justise Winslow, F — 2015 NBA Draft, 10th overall to Heat
Christian Laettner, C - 1992 NBA Draft, 3rd overall to Timberwolves
Bobby Hurley, G - 1993 NBA Draft, 7th overall to Kings
Marvin Bagley III, C - 2018 NBA Draft, 2nd overall to Kings

None of these were anywhere near the level of hype Flagg has, he's more of Zion and Kyrie Duke prospect level hype than these guys.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Bagley was special, he could jump twice in a row really fast. You didn't listen to Divac?

Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively also went to Duke and seem to be doing ok in the NBA.

We love the fact that Divac picked Bagley too. Got us Luka for several years.
