Does that mean that the Texas Legends will be a stronger team than the Dallas Mavericks? :D

They are back already.

Watch Mavs force AD to play on 4/9 then shut him down for the season. Only Nico is dumb enough to pull a stunt like that.

At this point, if I'm Quentin Grimes' dad, I'm demanding a max contract from any team interested. Those are First team All-NBA numbers for sure.

@Fullcourtpass
Kyrie Irving is still on track for a max extension from the Dallas Mavericks, per @MikeACurtis2

Desperate move, they need to regain players around the league faith after stabbed Luka.

It would be hilarious, if they give 33 years old Kyrie with torn Acl 240 mio for basically 3 years. You can be 99% sure he won't be playing next year in that case. They didn't want to give Luka 70 per year, because they were afraid of his conditioning. Kyrie on the other hand, torn Acl, 80 per year no problem.

You can be sure that AD is getting max. too. That's 500 mio for 2 soon 35 years old players.

They can't afford another big player fiasco and let Kyrie walk... The situation is clear.

This franchise is death like i said days ago, it's just a never end domino.

Our last hope is fire Nico, not to come back contender again but just not to make things even worse.

A little bit off topic here, but I don't want to start a whole thread just for it. But the Knicks have recently employed a two big man lineup with Mitchell Robinsons and KAT. Kidd should take notes. I believe Lively and AD are better versions.

It could have worked, if Mavs had Luka or Brunson. Wait...

Do people really believe that putting 5 players together, who can't create anything for others and mostly can't create for themselves either can work? And what about spacing, where 1 big can't shoot at all and other is shooting 90% of his shots for 2?

Mavs were 2nd in 3PA last year, they're 23rd this season and will probably be around 30th place next year with 2 bigs lineup. Are we sure that's direction we want to go, while Boston is taking 48 3s per game?

Kyrie is Nico's guy. He will sign him to an extension. Nico doesn't despise Kyrie like he does with Luka.

Lol... Oh well, that's the new culture. Also, didn't Dumont say "don't take vacations on our team"? I guess that means AD will be gone in off season for a pack of chips.

Lively has solid playmaking potential. If Lively can shoot like Brad Miller and attack paint defender like Hakeem or D-Rob, I think DLive could be the next franchise player and core piece in the whole offensive scheme.

Without Kyrie, I think the Mavs run a similar system like Orlando or Denver.

Winning without Kyrie is tough but I think if they don't trade the farm for KD, they should be able to hold the fort until he comes back. Maybe after Christmas. I'm not a doctor so who knows when that will be.

Come to think of it, Nico might press another panic button and actually trade the farm now for KD. Have KD and AD hold the fort and Kyrie will come around by all star break. Knowing he's on of Nico's Nike guys, high chance we see that happen.

The real downside is KD's salary. Because you need to send out 3 or 4 guys to match that. If he's earning the veteran minimum like Ben Simmons then it would not be a problem at all.

Lively was great partner with Luka, because he was nonstop doubled or trapped, Lively being alone on FT line and was good enough to pass from there. You can forget about that now.

Our bigs lose at least 20/30% of their impact without Luka... Hayes (who was unplayable 1 months ago) looks like a solid starter for a contendere. Insane.
