Not sure what game you were watching, BWood was all over the place in the 2nd half. Def one of his better games of the season so far.

I posted that in the first half. He did absolutely nothing in that half. He played well in the 2nd half though.

There was an article by Fish where he talked about how historically Haywood has played better defense when he's gotten more shot attempts. And I think we need to try and get him engaged before this attitude problem festers.

Agree, but Chandler has became a total stud and completely overshadows Haywood now.
Mihinmi isn't looking too shabby either and I wouldn't mind seeing him get a little more PT.

And where in the world did that offense from Haywood come from??? Can't say I've ever seen him that aggressive on offense. Maybe this situation will light a fire under his butt.

Completely agree because Barea has been carving up defenses lately and gets absolutely no credit on this board.

My concern with Haywood is strictly attitude. I was very surprised with his level of play and thought the Chandler competition would become a negative for him. I'm still holding my breath on that one but if he continues to play like he did in the 2nd half, it might just be a positive thing.

The Mavs has a great center combo in Chandler/Haywood. Trading Haywood is definitely a no-no.

That kind of thinking by the FO is why the Mavs have never found a decent sidekick for Dirk. The love for an average at best player keeps them from making moves to take us to the next level.

Chandler is what makes us a better team, not so much the combination of the 2.
If there is an opportunity to improve the quality of the starting lineup through a Haywood trade, the Mavs would be foolish to not entertain the idea.

I don't think any team would be willing to take on Haywood's huge contract except maybe OKC. We wouldn't get the sidekick DIRK needs if we traded Haywood to them though.

Not Haywood alone but in a package deal with someone like Butler, Roddy, etc...
