Mavs with Terry... +15/33min

Mavs without Terry... -4.4/33min

Yes, this is the Key for POR. Sit Terry on the bench to end this PO right now.
And let that TO prone without W Jason. Im really thrilled to remember JJB&DoJo and JJB&DS.

Terry only needs to play as Kidd's backup....bench Barea completely
Brewer, Stevenson, and Marion need to all play major minutes
Coach might need to put Cardinal in to thug it up :lol: and use all six fouls as hard as possible without pickup technicals.

However I think the Mavs lose this one. Even the players know that their coach is stupid with his stubborn @ss rotations. ITS NOT a effing YMCA kids league where you need to make sure all the kids get to play so their parents don't complain. Its about matchups not minute distribution. If something aint working then change even if that means benching Terry and Barea in favor of Brewer whom the coach hates.

I don't think my blood pressure can handle watching this game....I might just watch a movie on netflix instead.

Yeah get Brewer out there he will harrass the sh*t out of Roy... I have no idea why we will see extended minutes of Barea and Terry & Kidd getting raped on defense again.

http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4677063/dirk-cant-dissapear-in-4th-quarter-again

“He’s got to be a guy that touches it a lot,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “He did touch it a fair amount. He didn’t necessarily shoot it as much as he touched it, but we’ve got to keep the ball going through him as much as possible.

“When he’s double-teamed, he’s going to have to kick it out and other guys are going to have to make plays. We’ve got to read situations, but we’ve got to be very aggressive.”

Those quotes by Carlisle amused me. He says it but he doesn't do it. Stop running plays for Jet and isolate DIRK at the FT line extended. That is what will win games. It's what Portland did to win Game 4. The Mavs can do the exact same thing.

That looks much more like the reality. More scoring but NO defense whatsoever.

According to the NBA statscube, Mavs have a 7.1 net swing when Terry is on the court compared to when Terry is on the bench.

At least my reverence for DIRK has some merit.

I'm not sure what the case for Terry is. All Terryble does is play no defense, take away shots from DIRK, and miss jumpers.

Look at the graph towards the bottom of this article. Another reason why DIRK should get the damn ball during the 4th quarter.

@ahonui
I have no idea why you are blaming a player for it. He is not Cuban, He cant shoot as he wants.
Think of whose responsibility what you are pointing out. RC plans all of them, if he is the HC. It might be dubtful... :-?

1) never seen a source of your numbers - ahonuis appear to make much more sense to me.
2) if you know something about the game of basketball (I don't know if you do..) then you have to let go of your permanent use of numbers. Numbers are indicators but they will never be able to reach to the same level of knowledge as feeling for the game and common sense.
3) Terry sucks it up on D every time he's out there... the main issue is Kidd and JJ are terrible as well... That's why Jet can only get Kidds backup minutes and should never see the court as a 2 guard.

Bceause at the end of the day it's still the player whos out there with the ball in his hands - he has the ultimate decision to make. You can go with your coaches order or you do what you think is better. Main issue with that is that Jet thinks he's Kobe.

This. Terry doesn't understand that he takes terrible shots and isn't clutch.

@dirkules_41

its meanigless we discuss on this.

you are writing "with your basket knowledge" on the process.
I am posting the result. totally different.

You have your ideal basketball. Fine. I will not say you are wrong.
Its meaning less to show every ideal basketball each other. At least I will not.

P.S.
you think JET can play like Kobe in Dallas with your basketball knowledge...

JET can shoot whenever he wants, ignoring RC.
But he cant play as the backup PG for that HC? Sorry... but are you serious?

And you have basketknowledge. So, i dont need to tell you where I got those numbers. Its too easy to you.

Chandler gets worse from the FT line as the season progresses....

Return to Dallas Mavericks
