RC is in my mind is the perfect Coach for Seth.
During the season if he just rides the bench many of you will express your displeasure with that, but he's a two year investment, that we probably hope to be much longer.
I support RC throughout during the upcoming season with anyway that he utilizes Seth.

Seth Curry at least is supposedly better defensively than his brother. George Karl said he was their best defensive player.

This guy is a lot different than Jenkins or Morrow. He can create his own shot and can create off the dribble.

Definitely a team-friendly deal compared to what others are getting

Seth Curry's signed but Dirk hasn't. What happened? Are there a Lebron to Dallas negotiating under the process? To my limited knowledge, we sign Seth Curry with rooms exception. We do so after we're over the cap. If it is not working that way, can we believe that a big fish is thinking highly of Dallas and Dirk's willing to take a min to facilitate the whole thing? Technically, Lebron is the only big fish available. And we have among the best talents in terms of 3 point shooting and defense. We've clutch performer in the mix, too. We can still pull a Westbrook trade by deadline by trading Powell with expiring contracts, prospects and picks. And I think Westbrook is motivated to harrass Kevin Durant in playoff. We can put Lebron/Barnes on Durant; Matthews on Thompson; and potentially Westbrook on Curry. We get an edge at 5 and overall depth. After the trade, we can indeed sign some veterans who're in ring chasing mode. That's a perfect scenario to Dirk.

C - Andrew Bogut / Salah Mejri / AJ Hammons
PF - Lebron James / Dirk Nowitzki / Dwight Powell
SF - Harnes Barnes / Justin Anderson / Quincy Acy
SG - Wes Matthews / Jonathan Gibson / Devin Harris
PG - Deron Williams / Jose Barea / Seth Curry

I think we can pretty much all agree that's not going to happen. Dirk likely hadn't signed yet because he's still in Europe. Once his vacation is over he'll sign.

Absolutely he could be a starter for us and make our Bench super strong by having Deron on it.

I think he ends up filling the Jason Terry role here this year.

I bet Seth Curry rides the bench in Carlisle's doghouse. We know damn well he isn't going to take any minutes away from the beloved Barea.

I would love to know the Steph - Seth conversations about Bogut and Barnes.

How to you time the run on Bogut's screens?

Where is the pass to on Barnes slash?

Or does Steph "f' you man, work it out!"

You know brothers talk about that stuff at family dinners and events so I can see him helping his brother out and especially with regard to getting on the right page with his new teammates.

Imagine the youth learning to develop some chemistry. Say Curry and Anderson develop into contributors that with Barnes form a strong core to attract other young bigs when Dirk and Bogut decide to retire. I am hoping that Hammons can show some game this year to have us looking solid at the 5 for a PF to want to come here and take the reigns when Dirk hangs it up.

He has 2 years to develop into something and maybe 3 before Dirk fully hangs it up.

Powell and Acy are not that great so having them serve in that role is pointless. Hammons has enough shooting skill that if he is properly taught by Dirk he could develop into a stretch 4 as well as serve a role at center and that would give us a lot more flexibility to attack other teams with a pair of centers at the same time.

For example: Say Hammons is able to contribute as a 4 and we play him along with Bogut or Mejri while Dirk is on the bench resting.

That gives us 4 7 footers that we could use and expect contributions from. Not to give Hammons a break he still needs to develop his defensive game at center but as a 4 he can just concentrate on his offensive game which at this point in his career is probably stronger than his defensive game so he may get to being a factor for us faster in that capacity since we are already use to using an offensive only player like Dirk at the 4 so the team is use to compensating on Dirks lack of D.

This being the case that may be an easier place to fit him in and get him developing enough to contribute faster.

Yes, I was being facetious.

I reckon Steph has already explained to Seth exactly what Bogut does in the high screen, the alley oop pass and the back-door receive.

Mavs Dream: Steph has a bad year with Durant and wants out to play with Seth.

How many of you think both Seth Curry and Jonathan Gibson can jump ahead of Jose Barea and Devin Harris in depth chart? If so, what should we do with the later duos. In my opinion, it's more necessarily the case but it has to be as we need more able penetrators who can drive and click with ease. Harris had nearly all career low last season. But will JJ loses the role as well? In any case, I believe D Will will surprise a lot of people this season. His basketball smart will matter a lot. If not, he's a goner.

From my personal guess, the Mavs are not extremely high on Seth Curry. If we are confident in him, I don't think we sign the shooter who has played zero summerleague game. Personally, I don't like how he answers questions. His responses are very much Parsons like. Too diplomatic. I hope he's much better work ethics than CP.

Never ever. Nope. As long as Rick Carlisle is coach and Barea is not crippled, Barea will always be priority above all other bench guards.
