I just watched the Nuggets/Blazers game, the crowd went nuts and was responsible for Monte Morris missed FTs, it didn't help Portland though.

I'm beginning to think this series comes to down to one main factor. The Mavs playmaking >>>>> Clippers playmaking. I don't think the Clippers defense is nearly as good as its reputation, and not just an indictment of Kawhi & PG, but they've missed so many rotations. Their mindset just hasn't been there, as Kendrick Perkins said, "they're frontrunners". Prepared when Kawhi posterizes Maxi or PG breaks KP's ankles. They're ready for that. It's flex time! But, when the Mavs aka Luka show them something they haven't seen before, they don't know what to do.

Kawhi can go out & get you 41, but he can't help Batum get 28. Luka can do both. Get ya 39 and help THJ get 30. I feel like a Mavs sweep is very possible and Mavs in 5 or 6 is a certainty. The Clippers just aren't that good.

Get ready for it. Milwaukee fans dealt with it for several years. Now that Luka has stepped onto the national stage in a big way this series, I'm starting to see ESPN clips with those mumblings "Will Luka leave Dallas?" Sigh.

That is the first page of the ESPN playbook. Start a rumor for any talented player who doesn't play in New York or Los Angeles and try to create enough buzz that they leave.

I think what helps Dallas is it’s a big market, a stable franchise, and an owner that’s willing to spend money. Is it LA or NY? No, but it doesn’t have to be for Luka to be successful and extremely rich.

Don't know what series Vegas is watching. Normally, Vegas lines are nothing to play with. They make a fortune by knowing what a good line is. But, sometimes the market on one side is just so overwhelming it moves the line.

I can't see a lot of national bets or lack of confidence in Luka. Is there a lot of LAC money coming in? That line doesn't make sense.

I'd set it at Mavs -2.5 maybe more

I heard that yesterday. Also heard that Vegas also had the Clippers as the favorites in every playoff game they lost last year. So they were the favorites while Denver was kicking their ass.

Yeah doesn't matter to ESPN though. They only have a hard on for New York and Los Angeles. Luka could be in Chicago, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, and they would still be beating the same drum. I mean they did the same thing with LeBron when he was in Miami. Weren't their rumors about Steph leaving Golden State when his extension was up?

It's getting old. I stopped watching ESPN about 8-9 years ago, around the time Bill Simmons left for HBO actually. They stopped reporting the sports news, and they started trying to create it instead. It's just bad journalism. It's sensationalism. Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith were the death of that network.

You can look at it this way. Nobody has ever come back from an 0-3 hole. LAC is the bookies' favorite for the series, so they somehow think the odds of them ending up in an 0-3 hole from which nobody has ever recovered should be somehow more improbable then probable. Does that makes sense? I am also expecting the Mavericks to get the Clippers' best punch tonight. With another 3 days rest between the games I think we are going to see some sharp basketball tonight. God I missed the playoffs.

Luka is focused, THJ is focused, KP is playing within his abilities, DFS is playing as well as expected, they are playing out of their mind, Clippers coach and players have made every mistake possible in defensive rotations, and Mavs won 2 very close games, I think it's a sign of huge respect to give the Clippers only 2 points edge.
Go Mavs! Give 'em hell!
