I don't understand why is Kidd so obsessed with playing Powell and KP together, or just in general, why is Powell even on the floor when they clearly lack perimeter defense and THJ is just bad.

When I saw KP come in without Powell, I thought : "Finally, they acknowledge that he's a center! About time!"
Nice end to the 3rd. It looks like Kidd is planning to play Luka 15 minutes in the first and 20 minutes in the second. I don't mind it.
I like the way the team is playing. Lot of energy. The only no show is Hardaway.

KP at Center looking good to end the quarter. Just plays so much more naturally at the 5.

Why did they put Powell back in... That last play was so sloppy, just leaving the ball out.
Richardson is playing well against us... Now is not the time Josh.

TOs aren't helping the team. Just take care of the ball.

Luka!!! WtF was that shot!!
Why did Boston foul? It makes no sense, the Mavs had nothing going and they would have had a chance to tkae the last shot. Such an atrocious foul.
Good for us!!!
Now that's a great win we can feel good about.

Good win. What an absolute brainfart by the Celtics. Why foul?
Luka looked and the offense looked fine today. Even KP played well.

Halleluka!!
What an amazing shot and great game. Sucks we lost the lead but lot of positive things to take from the game.
Props to KP, he was big today. Glad to see him back and playing well.

I think Udoka outcoached Kidd in the 2nd half and that's quite concerning. Still great win, Mavs are now holding 3rd spot quite firmly, which is a bit surprising how they played so far.

Re: RS 21/22 - Mavs vs Celtics (Sat. 8:30PM EST)
KP looked pretty good.
Think he had like 10 FTs, wasnt jacking up 3s except that bad one at the end, and was getting some nice cut/putback points.
Can't believe that shot went in as it was such a bad shot going into the corner with 3 guys on him

Porzingis was more physical on thr block than ive ever seen he played great. Glad to see luka back idk wtf kidd was doing continuing to allow Tatum to trash dfs when its obvious Bullock guarded him better.

Getting to the line and getting offensive rebounds means he's doing better physically. He hardly did those last year.

Hope a second and filler could be good for them, obviously no way they will take Powell.
Considering dragic were so bad when they let him play that he made DP look like an allstar this year, yeah, if they want to trade they will have to take powell as salary filler and probably nothing of real value
Dragic doesn't want play in Toronto and the Raps don't have any interest to play him, judge him for this year performance is no sense....anyway Powell has lower value than a bunch of nuts, we can't trade him for nobody straight. Unfortunately.
But with a second could be an home run for us.
Man you don't seem too good to judge players...i'm still waiting an answer about Eric Gordon in the other topic. A couple of months ago you were more ironic about him.
Ironic about who? What thread? Think ive made it pretty obvious who i dont want here and why. If u mean dragic ive made it perfdctly clear ever since people here started to want him here that i dont see it givibc us much, that i have no intrdst to give anything of value for him, that only way i can see him join is if he is bought out and signs on vet min, and that powell and burkd is as far as i go tradewise, but more because it removes powell then getting dragic. If its EG, i have no intrest at all unless he is bought out. More injury prone then KP, more streaky from 3 then luka, at average maybe cracks top 10 in the rotation on a huge contract. In my eyes its u that are horrible at player judgement, and i am correct. Oh and for those i argue with about not trading kp for westbrook. Oncd again he shows his value, 1/13 from the field last numberz i saw. Wouldnt trade powell straight up for that bad roleplayer that thinks he still is a star and gonna make 50m next year.
Very fun game to watch. The shooting was a little better. Tatim were amazing. Smart wasnt smart. Only bad thing were start of 2nd quarter, or was it 2nd half? Were up good and tried playing luka off ball, lost pretty much the full lead and looked horrible. Feels nice to know we got the most clutch player sincd MJ himself. Cant wait for next game.

It baffles me that anybody wants to frame Porzingis as anything but a 5.
He's still a near elite rim protector, he can't guard 4s and playing a guy at 5 who stretches the floor provides such benefit to Luka.
This old school view of needing a bruiser at 5 is outdated and pointless.

Actualy, I don't get how WCS get playing time over Boban and Moses. At least, Powell blocks 3 shots which is rare scenario. WCS is total liability on both end. I'd much rather have Bjelica or Wagner. Unfortunately, the Mavs pick up option and overpay significantly. WCS could be had for veteran minimum easily. I'd rather play Dwight Howard 5M per than WCS at 4M per.

Just watched the 1st half, team looked good actually, KP had some blocks and good contests, but 2-3 weird blow bys that he should've contested, I'll catch the bad part later.
Finally a Luka magic game, shooting is better, but the 3pt shots didn't fall as they you used to, Brunson continues to impress.

Once again this game is a proof that KP is a Center! And Luka can co exist with another scoring PG (Brunson). So, to that clown who said otherwise, you don't know anything about basketball and you're a fraud!

Re: RS 21/22 - Mavs vs Celtics (Sat. 8:30PM EST)
I think Boston triple team Luka is right strategy. Unfortunately, they do it with wrong personnel. None of them stay close enough to bother Luka. They just stop Luka and potential layup threat. Try to keep the perimeter opened. But to be sure, KP deserve a lot of credit. The block and the putback dunk technically put the Mavs on top.

Re: RS 21/22 - Mavs vs Celtics (Sat. 8:30PM EST)
I think I was too excited about the victory and Luka's performance.
There's still some concerning things. Celtics are a mess and were missing their 2nd best player, yet it went down to the last shot.
15 TOs and 33% from 3 are just bad numbers.
Good thing for the Mavs that Schroder thought he is a star and the Celtics shot 29% from 3.
Luka, KP and Bullock played great. DFS found his 3pt shot. THJ will always be inconsistent.
I can't wait for Kidd to wake up about Powell. Plus, I wanted Bullock to start at the beginning of the season and I see nothing that has changed my mind.

EG easily will be our starting SG with THJ on the bench... And his contract isn't too bad, next year will be an expiring because 23/24 is a TO.
EG would be an huge upgrade for us. No doubt.
About the game, finally Bullock outplayed DFS...man Tatum raped him all night long. Embarassing.
KP with a great return, we need him.
Luka with his shoot. No more.
