Maybe it's for the best. If Luka is out for more games, the Mavs will hopefully (and finally) decide to tank properly, instead of doing whatever the heck it is they're doing. Tank hard and trade Brunson before the deadline to get something good back... then combine assets to get Jabari Smith Jr should be the goal IMO.

They are at the 5th spot, playing top5 defense by just about any metrics and are slowly getting their players back. How do you tell Doncic to tank, who doesn't even know what tanking is?

Where are you getting that I want the Mavs to be perennial losers from? I'm only saying to tank for 1 (ONE) year... because it's the smart thing to do with what the Mavs have (i.e., not a good chance at this year's title, very few valuable assets to trade... but have their FRP and it could be a good one).

As for being on a 4-game winning streak... I don't know what to say except the Mavs gonna Mav, i.e., to me there are some teams that more often than not seem to do the opposite of what they should... and the Mavs are one of them.

Mavs biggest win would be, if they somehow trade KP for someone good. They clearly don’t need him that much, his value is probably up and he’s always one injury away from being totally negative. If they can get good C or Pf for him, they should pull the trigger immediately.
