A vet min signing? I doubt it says much...
I was one of the biggest proponents of having Dragic, but Brunson's improved play, the acquisition of Dinwiddie and Jason Kidd's playing style has made a pretty much irrelevant.
Ntilikina isn't playing, I wouldn't hate it if they waive him and sign Dragic, I wouldn't hate if they didn't, he has strong character and deep PO experience this team lacks, but his on court value diminished for the current Mavs.

Adding a veteran PG to your bench rarely hurts.

I guess he's looking for last contract, so playing time was important for him the most.

Seth Curry
Patty Mills
Kyrie Irving

are all similar to him, he'll battle them for rotation minutes, he'd have more minutes with the Bucks.

This is probably unrelated but Dragic did recieve that #3 Nets jersey of Drazen Petrovic a couple of years ago. Must have meant something to him to retire a Net.

Him and Nash also go back to their days in PHX.

Seth is more or less only shooter and Kyrie not exactly playing non stop. He has good relationships with Nash too.

Kyrie can’t play home games or in any games in Cali. Seth isn’t as much of a PG as Dragic and Mills are, he’s more of a shooter. Mills and Dragic will split more of the actual PG duties.

Dragic is getting divorced, so money is probably the most important reason for signing somewhere for him, one last solid contract would be helpful.

I doubt he's getting anything but vet min next season, he's 36, he already made 20 millions he had no business making this year, he had a team option that and he was guaranteed just to be salary filler.

It depends what has Nash promised him and how he will used his playing time. Goran is in better condition than Luka. ;)

Darren wrote:I don't know why so many people think Ntlikina should be waived with Sterring Brown on the roster. Ntilikina impacts game but Brown does not. I think Kidd suck.

The reason is that Ntilikina's contract next season isn't guaranteed, while Sterling Brown's is. So, waiving Frankie results in less dead cap next year.
