It depends how you get Gobert? If you could just add Gobert to this year's core team, it would be great. Unfortunately you cannot. THJ+Bertans+ something would be great too. It won't happen so there's not much reason for discussion. They should be able to upgrade Powell and sign Brunson, that's minimum expectation for offseason, anything more would be big +.

I do not agree. The issue for me isnt that its impossible to trade for him. The issue is u lock in 46m/year of you capspace on a guy that been more of less played of the floor in the po now what, 3 years in a row? U paying 46m for a guy that does nothing for u in the po! Thats fine for knicks or magic whos whole goal is winning rs games to get to the po, but if the goal is championship u cant have that. And its for like 3 or 4 mord years! And thats not even getting into what having him on the floor does with spacing and how bad he fits. All those guys mentioned that wouldnt get the deal done, thj, bertans, frank, each individually contributes more then gobert when it comes to po.

Im still saying 15m for brunson, i know its seemed low atm, but higher and i think we regret it. I actually prefer if he dont take it to snt him for whatever we can get, ise luka dinwiddie and frank as pgs (frank playing off ball with 1 ox the other) and have thj and bullock fill more sg mins. And hopefully get frontcourt help or picks for brunson that can be used in frontcourt over paying some of thd numbers mentioned

Gobert is paid big money because he's Utah's most important player. Dude has insanely high TRB%, blocks shots, can be amazing above the rim player and is simply a huge difference maker under the rim.

Reason why he looked useless is because guys like Bogdanovic and Mitchell had On/Off -17/-18 while Gobert was still +0.7. I hope you can comprehend how absolutely horrible those On/Off numbers are compared to Gobert.

Jazz have huge problems defending perimeter and can make Gobert look bad because he has to cover basically entire floor. Similar with Doncic who looks way worse than he is in reality because he has no one who can protect his back.

And Gobert is paid 38M next year not 45M. Mavs could easily match that but Mavs problems are their own contracts with additional years in it. They'll likely need to include draft picks but this is also where it gets complicated because they still owe 23 pick to Knicks.

Just be happy Lowry didn't end up on the Mavs

Brunson averaged 22/5/4 on 47/35/80 shooting splits this playoffs. For reference, THJ averaged 17/3/1 on 42/40/75 shooting splits last year and got a 4yr/75 mill contract and most fans thought that was a decent deal "at the time". I'd be shocked if Brunson doesn't AT LEAST get a contract equal or above that.

Yeah, THJ (17.5/yr) (and GTJ and DRIII) contract is the floor for Brunson, I think Mavs should offer him 5 years deal to increase the amount of money, 100/5 starts at below18 and backloads the money.

Brunson to Cavs for Mark William? Sounds like Sexton is leaving and Brunson is a baller. Cavs just drafted two ridiculous bigs last season. 14th pick is more valuable for the Mavs than Cavs.

Not sure this is possible but...

Green/Powell/Brown/#26/Future Pick for Turner
SnT Brunson for Grant/Pick
Sign Whiteside MLE

Turner/Whiteside/Boban
Grant/Maxi/Chriss
DFS/Bullock/Bertans
THJ/Frank/Pinson
Luka/Dinwiddie/Burke

Brunson S&T + THJ for Grant/KO works, I think the Turner deal is fair, not sure Pacers would do it, I'd trade Boban + Burke for Kemba and I'd spend TPMLE on a wing (DJJ for example) instead of whiteside, but I like this plan.

Brunson isn't perfect for us but he is a great player, trade him for a future pick or unsure assets is a fool move... For a ready good player? Yes of course.

You don't think Grant is a good player?
Brunson, Dinwiddie, and THJ are too many players trying to fill a single role and Brunson will fetch the most in a trade.
I honestly think Brunson is limiting Dinwiddie's effectiveness, and there won't be a huge drop off in overall production if we trade Brunson....especially once THJ returns.

Now I agree we could probably do better than Grant and a pick in a Brunson deal, but that pick could be parlayed in a package with another player to gain another asset.

Perhaps THJ/Green/#26 would get it done for Grant...IDK, but then we'd have to find a legit center using Brunson which would net about the same thing.

I didn't think it is possible to package two players in a SnT.
We could do Brunson SnT for multiple players, but not Brunson + Another Player.
I thought that was the rule, but I could be mistaken.

I like your plan as well. Olynyk would be a better fit than Whiteside and Kemba could provide some of Brunson's production.

Grant is perfect for us... plus a pick is a no brainer.
I spoke about only for picks, future picks or young guns.

Brunson can only net a $10M player coming back (if he is signed to $20M)

He way to streaky as a player now. A true shell of his former self but he would be a nice addition for his experience even if hia game is diminishing.

Lowry is still a solid player, but he was way overpaid because the free agent class was trash last year. He would be better for Miami if they limited his minutes more, but that is hard to do with the money they are paying him.

Not at 3/85.

Mavs dodged another bullet.

Detroit has like max cap space. If Jalen goes to Detroit we are screwed.
