I’ll hand it to Mitchell for being lights out, but the amount of times the Cavs got in the paint and hit a cutter for a layup/dunk was discouraging.

They didn’t see prepared for this game.

I think Cubsn should be looking for more twitter accounts that say Luka has enough help and like their tweets, speak it into existence.

Tomorrow (Dec. 15) marks the day that most players can now be traded, particularly those that signed in the offseason. Today Luka had a lot of situations where he was very visibly frustrated at his teammates. It's pretty darn clear that Luka's true feelings is those he has on the court, not what he says off the court. And those feelings are that these teammates just aren't good enough and he's sick of it. Sure hope Nico is busy on the phones tomorrow because change is needed.

Difficult to win a game, if you don't have anybody to play in the paint, against a team like Cavaliers.

Mavs are probably the most one dimensional team in the Nba, if they don't hit near 20 3s, is a game over.

Not a bad game, we are not a match for the Cavs... They have too much talent and size.

Only Luka in God mode can win those kind of games.

We're very close to sky is falling statement, if they don't pull some unexpected trades. It's not because of the standings, but how they play. Unwatchable and with very limited upside. 1st option Luka Iso, second option Dinwiddie Iso, 3rd option Wood Iso and you have to hope the others don't try to create anything, because it's TO automatically. You don't need a coach or his assistants for game plan like that.

This looks like the worst Mavs team after Luka's rookie year.

I think we've been there a month ago, team is inconsistent, it's best case scenario (had they been consistent) is 48 wins team.
Burying head in the sand will backfire on Cuban/NH, Noel, Bogdanovich, Bey and even Collins are tweaks that will do nothing, they need to pull themselves together and clean the slate, it is doable, there are at least 4 teams who invested their future and need players like Mavs players, their only asset is ability to take long term salary, they should target them and do a full rebuild, only Luka is a must stay, delay this and you're looking are Luka trade request rumors.

I believe the team is very consistent in inconsistency. Everything is about 3pts %, because they don't do anything else, and they don't have shooters good enough to shoot over 40% consistently, so it's basically coin toss how good will they shoot for 3. Over 40%, mostly wins, more than few % points lower than 40% mostly losses. And there were few games that Luka has won by himself. It's hard to win more than 50% of games playing like that.

I'm totally for full rebuild. This team lacks everything, giving Wood new contract would have been the disastrous move at the moment.

Effort is also inconsistent, DFS has been lethargic in more games this season than all his career, hell, even Powell seemed lethargic at times.

Difficult to play good D, when your game is out of rhythm for long periods of time.

I have never seen that before from him. He's not enjoying the game as much, you can clearly tell and often spends few seconds on offense hanging his head in disbelief instead of just running back to play defense. He's so frustrated with them that he didn't even want to shake hands at one point.

Yes, it's not looking good at all, and the coach is emotionally crippled mess, so there's no salvation from there either, Nico needs to move and fast, before it explodes.

This total lack of coaching has hugely negatively affected Luka too. He's doing things he shouldn't be doing. He looks lost out there.

When 2 years ago me and Bob said that Luka will leave unless if things would have not changed , were we haters and no Mavs fans right?

Unfortunately most of those real Mavs fans are disappeared... That's embarassing, i know.

Luka will grow tired of Cuban if things don't improve in the next couple of seasons. Cleveland has done a good job at rebuilding their team and I consider them one of only a few teams that are a true contender this season.

He's stuck with the team, he has nowhere to go and Mavs can't trade him. I've seen this on Mavs reddit recently, people saying they won't even blame him if he leaves. But there are still 4 years left on his contract and that's a long way to go.

Problem here is Cuban. Will he continue with saving money or will he finally go all out. Kidd hiring was a "friendly" gesture that even Dirk supported. But surrounding himself with friends only is in general a mistake. I'm starting to think that this Game of Thrones character was actually good for Mavs because he was pure analytic guy and it looks like Mavs are lacking all sorts of statistics and plans on how to move forward.

There has to be someone in the office who can stand up to Cuban and tell him how it is and how it should be. Right now everyone got too comfortable thinking "meh, we're gonna make playoffs anyway with Doncic". Proof of that are the dumb statements at the start of the season. "We have Frank and Green in PG roles, we don't need Dragic"... Like wtf?

It's a player league... Doncic can force a trade. Mavs can't do anything for avoid that if he wants to leave.

The situation is disastrous but it was pretty clean 2/3 years ago.
