It's amazing what this team is capable of when they move the ball and play defense and the shots are falling. More points this quarter than in the entire first half
Don't recall too many 51 point quarters either.

It's shocking how bad the Lakers look, even after getting a big lead thanks to the cold shooting from the Mavs.

What did Kidd tell them at halftime? They decided they didn’t want to lose to another garbage team today.

At what price is the question.

Luka driving more and not settling is the key. Only 3 3 pt attempts and 16 ft attempts.

Awesome to put a win up on Dirk statue day/night. Merry Christmas all!

Probably reminded them that this is NBA and not kindergarten, so it's ok to make open shots. Hey, it worked! :D

Huge credit to THJ, Wood and even Bullock for making them.

Amazing 3th quarter, finally a good ball movement... Change the S5 helped!

Wood can pass. Wow. 77M X 4 it's a good price.

I would be careful with this. It was kinda easy for Wood tonight because Lakers had no real rim protection and were doubling Doncic entire game, just leaving shooters open. Wood did a great job of finding them out of the mid post.

But, you would lock yourself into Wood, Luka, THJ core for the next few years. Do we really want that? On the other hand, if they don't do anything, then it's Luka, THJ, Dinwiddie... Do we actually want that?

These Mavs contracts really are something...

Imo it just comes down to not losing talent for nothing again. Is Wood the ideal running mate with Luka? No but he's a legitimate starting caliber player. We don't have many of those as is and aren't at liberty to just give them away.

I hope FO watching last games sees that Mavs, strangely enough, can win games without all of their best defenders. And will understand that they don't need to give more than half of roster spots to under 10 points players.

We have not so many options... Locked with this roster or locked with this roster without Wood

I was playing the annual poker game when the game was on, followed the 1st half on the phone, and things got tense, so I stopped following on the half, I couldn't believe the score of the 3rd quarter.
Need help in the rotation, starters are logging 40 minutes, hopefully, Green and Kemba suit up for the Knicks game and McGee get to have 3-4 fouls against Knicks frontcourt.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Wood played the Draymond Green role perfectly in this game. If he sets the pick and rolls, he gets the entry pass and kicks out an extra pass for an open 3 or to another cutting teammate. Which is why his assist numbers are up in this game. I think using him this way is much more effective rather that him just waiting outside the 3 point line most of the time. It takes the pressure off Luka to try to create plays every possession and gets the other players moving rather than just standing outside and watching.

with 9:44 left in the 3rd quarter the score was
Mavs 46 Lakers 58
with 1:30 left
Mavs 89 Lakers 69
so in 8 minutes and 14 seconds we outscored them by 32
Extrapolating that for a 48 minute game, the final score would be:
Mavs 251 Lakers 64
