Need another offensive player off the bench, no one can score on this team, and Dinwiddie had been run to the ground, ans we're halfway through the season.

WOuld be nice if that guy making 16 million a year could do that. But he's more of a 0-5 with more fouls than any other stat kind of guy. The biggest loser in the entire association.

But dont fret, our 41Dirk guy would trash everyone else on the roster and completely ignore facts, Bertans sucks

Yup, did you see the episode featuring you right after? Quoting me after every post?

I wonder what the ratings were for the 2 episodes, whatever it was, higher than anythign Bertans has ever done for the Mavs

Bertans and Bullock shot Mavs out of the game in the 4th Q. Luka tried with creating offense but they were missing everything.

With a bench of Bertans, Bullock, McGee, Ntilikina and 3 Gleague guys, you would expect someone would do something. But Bertans is useless on defense, can't rebound or dribble, so his only strength is to run around and shoot 3's. Unfortunately he was missing... And here is the problem, if you have such a bad bench as Mavs have, Bertans can't afford to have off nights. He's literally the only guy who can effectively score and is also paid like that.

They should do it more IMO, Bertans doesn't fit, but he's a great shooter, they should pump his value, he WILL give you 10 3s on 40% and a team who needs shooter will trade for him.
I wouldn't kill Luka's comeback attempt like this, but too many opportuinities here he could log heavy minutes to showcase himself are constantly missed.
People forget that Dermott got 40/3 in FA, I don't think he's a better player than Bertans.

In these 2 seasons i didn't seen a single scheme for Bertans, he is one of the best shooters in NBA but we use him in the worst way.

A good coach put role players in the better situation for them. Kidd simply can't.

You don't run plays for a bench player coming off the bench for 10 minutes. He is there to spread the floor. Even in Washington, they did not play for him. I see maybe 2 plays in this 35 points game.

The 3 rebounds may also be his career high, Mr. 6-10 and all

They run a lot of screens for him. He often comes out completely open or semi-covered. It also helps that he has such a quick release, so he doesn't need a lot of room. Unfortunately he is still no Peja Stojakovic, so he can't be used in more various scenarios. He's very limited and it shows that Mavs are trying their best to still make him usefull. With that being said, i still have no clue why guys like Bullock play over him or Hardy.

DFS, Bullock, Wood and Maxi spread the floor, they are stationary shooters who need time and space, THJ and Bertans are quick shooter, Bertans has the ability to shoot in motion, curling behind the screen pulling up, this is a much harder shot to hit, but also easier to find with plays, Mavs, mainly under RC, used to run this play for THJ on the right short corner a lot, Bertans can do it from everywhere, when Luka isn't playing, this is a much better bet than the painful isos and desperation 3s the team keeps racking.
Play to your roster strength, I prefer what the MAvs had last year, 2 of Luka/Brunson/Dinwiddie isoing on the floor at all time, but Brunson is gone, and you need to work with what's available.
