Frank running the offense while Kyrie watching. Kidd's coaching intellect is simply on another level.

You are correct. The tech in that OKC game got reversed. He's at 15.

I don’t get that at all. And it’s happened in every game Kyrie has played. Is that Kidd or is that Kyrie not being aggressive enough to call for the ball? Is he trying to hard to fit in and deferring too much?

This team can completely suck the life out of you with how they play. There is no way a serious team would show this little interest unless there is something going on behind closed doors.

There’s a lot of game left. The Pels are likely to take their foot off the gas and the Mavs will catch up. The last 5 min are all that matters.

2nd night of a back to back? It’s understandable, you’re being too dramatic.

Honestly don't know. Like i said, you have games where you think everything is fine and then there are games like this one. Maybe Kidd can wake them up at the half.

But if i were to guess, Kyrie tried to show he's a team player and then he tried to do his own thing. But Kidd lineup combination and lack of any offensive sets, kinda hinder both Luka and Kyrie. They're basically taking turns who will shoot the ball. It's absolutely puzzling how a pro coach at this level is unable to find any kind of rythmn and flow on offense for his main two guys.
I am maybe biased but you don't see this type of **** in EU. Top coaches would run sets, screens there would be constant movement etc. Here is just "Go and set a pnR" and you're done while others are watching.
Also, no real coach would play Frank over Hardy or anyone else basically. I simply don't understand the purpose of playing Frank with Kyrie, i see no logic. Defense would somewhat be an argument if Frank was actually a good defender.

Heh maybe, but then again ask yourself how many games like these have we seen just recently? :D I would say way too much.

Doncic is so badly injured that he is just walking up and down for minutes now. Kidd refuses to take him out to rest.

That was just one play. They had to play zone because of him. After he finally got subbed, now they went back to 1v1.

I'm not sure. What's the point playing zone vs Pelicans who also just lost BI due to injury? I think it was because Luka had problems moving side to side. Quad pains are a bitch, your lateral movement is severely hindered, so if they stay in zone, he can just stay on one side of the floor and rest a bit until they switch to offense.

Mavs been playing quite a bit of zone this season because we cant rebound or protect the rim... kidd being weird this season.

Now is the time for Luka to talk smack. Tell Jackson Hayes the "who are you again? I can't hear you" line.

Kyrie needs to take over the game now and send the Pels packing.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
