Still f*** you Nico

Basically this, Christie looks like a potential future star, he's only 22 in a few days.

With that being said you just don't do what Nico just did. You just don't.

Not a future star but a solid starter for sure... But we gave up a 25yo franchise player

He's still 21 a few more days - not many playing that well at this age, I'd say he definitely has it in him to be a 20ppg+ 2 way player by 25.

And we traded primarily for AD who is a top 15 player in the league. That being said Luka is a top 3 player.

No need to make it harder.

This team was being set up for the ring. The benchmark will be how many title Dallas win during the Luka tenure in the League.

Nothing more, nothing less
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

We traded primarily because Pelinka and Harrison are close friends and it's a clearly collusion.

Imagine having Max Christie and trading him away. The few genuine Lakers fans that exist must be in mourning.

Jokes aside... we gotta do what we gotta do to enjoy the team. Stay sane. Far more important things in life than crying over a pathetic trade. We will overcome the feeling and just roll on with whatever happens with this team...*

*and of course, pray the Lakers suck and don't continue to get things gift wrapped

Haven't seen a single Christie game before but after 2 games i'm a huge fan. But it's also such a weird feeling watching Lakers because there are so many ex-Mavs players there. It feels like watching 2 home teams lol.

The Lakers are now an extension of Dallas.

I really enjoy what I saw from Exum. He plays like a traditional point guard. He reads and reacts. I think he did a great job of attacking and decision making. I also want to give props to Spencer D again. He's a gamer. We're lucky to have him. I think he's at his best when he's going down hill and putting pressure on the defense. I think AD solves a lot of our ball handling issues. I know that sounds counter-intuitive but I think he does. Why? Because when he starts, we can run most of our offense through him.We literally need someone to dribble it up court and get into our offense. There will times in the game (where ball handing) becomes really important and its going to be up to J-Kidd (who knows a thing or two about ball handling) to make sure he's not over taxing Kyrie.

I also think AD frees up Gafford and Lively. Those guys should be closer to the basket now (i would imagine) and should be super aggressive on offensive rebounds.

I guess we are going to start PJ at the 3. I think it will workout b/c he seems to be pretty good on corner threes. Not sure what his percentages are. That's a lot of size. We're really deep and just interchangeable in a lot of areas. Kidd's biggest challenge is going to be making sure there is enough ball handling on the court at times without sacrificing something else. Also making sure the most minutes go to your best bench players. Also he must not be afraid to rest Kyrie and your starters against the other team's bench. We have depth. Let them compete.

Kyrie - PG
Thompson - Shooter
Washington - Corner 3pt shooter / Defender
A. Davis - Inside Presence
Gafford - Rebounding, block shots.

Most bench minutes will need to go to these guys in this order:

Lively - has to have the mindset to dominate in the minutes he play
Christie - POA defender and decision making
Martin - a gamer that has shown he can carry a team offensively in pressure moments when he gets going(skilled scorer)
Marshall - ball handling and can get into the lane and cause problems
Exum - can really set the table - very valuable when Kyrie needs a ball handling break or to set the table for the 2nd unit.
Spencer - interchangeable at the 1-3 positions. Best when attacking the basket and scoring near the rim. Will take and hit big shots. A gamer as well and in fairness to him - his value fluctuates from game to game. He can easily be your 3rd best bench player on a given night.
