Another quality W... With a real PG on the court and AD at the 5. Basketball is so simple.

AD for Myles Turner wtf

You want Mavs fans to cry more?

Turner and Lively will just play with legos all year.

As much as I like our team winning this is not helping us at all. There is just no point in winning for this season and AD still needs to go. I don't want us to feel good about AD and offer him that franchise destroying contract extension he is looking for

Good trade, Flagg+salary filler to the Bucks would probably be enough.

No way, no how will the Mavs tank when there is an inkling of winning. It's like asking a fish not to swim. It's what they are in existence for. If AD stays somewhat healthy, this team has a chance to compete in the PO. With 59 games left, we're 9 games back from the #4 spot.
Nico definitely got rid of the dry powder.

I agree with your point but with the chance to compete in PO. Too much limited roster.

Anyway almost all NBA teams will play PO or play-in, it's not so difficult in these years.

Thank you Nemhard (and Flagg of course) for breathing some much needed life into our team. It was looking bleak

I still want AD gone. This guy doesnt care about anything but the paycheck. Dallas would be going backwards keeping and extending him.

You're acting like there's no way to make smaller roster adjustments in Jan/Feb.
AD changes everything but they must prioritize his availability over anything else.
We also still have Kyrie, PJ and Lively coming back eventually.

I'm afraid they would revert back to the stupid AD at the 4 if Lively is back.
I want to compete, the noise around the AD trade front is that the returns offered aren't great, I'd keep him and compete with him, if Kyrie is ready in February, take a month to get into shape, and be ready for the PO would be amazing, make the play in and hope for the best, but keep the spacing, don't do Flagg at PG non sense, keep the double big lineup for special occasions (Rockets, OKC when they go double big).

With smaller adjustments this roster will still remain a first round PO exit at best... I'm ok to play well and show our assets to increase their trade value.

We can't compete anyway with lottery teams, they are too bad

I'm still on team Trade AD. The guy is going to be out at some point, you know it. He's not a leader or a team-first guy, so I just don't see how he can ever warrant 54+ mil a year. If we can get expirings and picks, you have to right?

I think when healthy we can beat anyone in a playoff series but probably OKC. By that logic no team should try in the next years as OKC is unbeatable in theory.

I'm team tank more than anyone else. But seeing how they've managed to string 3 wins in a row means they've completely given up on tanking or was not even there to begin with. From the looks of it, they will be gunning for a playoff spot. Not that anyone would win against OKC, but they'll go for it if it came to that it seems. I'm not even doing research on the top 10 picks anymore. Looks like we're picking 14 to 20. In that range.

Too optimistic... But it's ok. I disagree.

Coop is unbelievable. Coop has made all the Dirk moves with excellent decision making. Coop is on path to be better than Lebron. I am looking forward to Coop-Luka rematch.

Come on what? They’re the only two players that have managed to do these things at 18yo. And if you compare per 36min stats Cooper has the edge in everything but assists - and I loved Rookie LeBron back in the day

Huh?
LeBron was a physical freak with supercomputer for brain, Flagg is great, he is in Tatum/Edwards maybe even Luka level comversations, he's not LeBron level prospect.
LeBron came into the league in the absolute hardest period to score, Pistons were holding regularly below 60 points back then, Dirk/Nash Mavs and Kings were outliers.
