Brand will not be able to get the money that he will get in his current contract coming off of his microfracture surgery.

I remember way back when that the cavs owner, Ted Stepien, loved the mavs expansion draftees. He traded at least 3 times with mavs for experienced guys for his high #1s. Rolando Blackman was one of the picks. He is also the reason that draft picks in consecutive seasons cannot be traded. Dale Ellis was another, as was Det Schrepf. Sterling is not the poison of this guy, but close. Stepein usually sits back and collects his check. He is more worthless than the Brothers who owned the Spirit of St. Louis.

Clipper fan here.

I'd take Terry for Maggs straight up only because we are one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league. Also, we have no clutch players other than Cassell...which is why I wouldn't do this particular deal. We already have a defender in Q. Ross and don't need Hassell.

I like JET but in order for this team to be less of a jumpshooting team and attack the basket more they are going to have to bring in players with that mentality. Maggette is that type of players. He draws a lot of fouls because he attacks the basket.

I think he would be a better defender than JET though I can't honestly say I know what kind of defender Maggette really is. He is certainly bigger and stronger and that would help on both ends of the floor.

Maggs is not that good of a defender. Terry is definitely a better perimeter defender. Maggs is a good rebounder though.

On TNT, barkley & co. was interviewing someone who said the deal between Dunleavy & the Mavs included a 1st.

Terry + 1st for Maggette

Barkey, in not so many words, called Clipper management stupid for turning that down.

Well, I think most of us would do the straight up deal. I would add a 1st.

But I think you are getting Terry mixed up with Harris. Most PGs that score on us is on the switch off of Harris or when Harris is on the bench. Terry is the scapegoat as he is the ones other guards don't fear popping the shot off against. However, the last month or so, Terry's defense has been much better.

If Knight wasn't that injury prone and had a little bit of a jumper I would do it. Considering his weaknesses and his age I think it would do it nevertheless but only if we had not to give up that draft pick.

He would play 8-10 mins a game. Barea would log 6-8 mins. Devin would be the beneficiary, getting 30-34 mins

Maggette + ET for JET + filler works for me. Maggette plays better defense than JET. The intensity and fearless is what I worth. That's supposed to be Josh role anyway. He's now playing more on perimeter. We need extra body to penetrate and provide pressure to defense. BTW he's a respectable shooter.
