Nobody knows how to have fun on RealGM any more. I miss the old banter from a few years ago. The stuff that got me posting on these boards. Everybody calling everybody else idiots and lousy fans, and worse. Good grief.

So, I'm breathing a big sigh of relief right now. Man, this team is just driving me nuts. I don't know if that says something about them as a team, or if it says something about me as a fan. Probably a little bit of both ...

So, if game 6 holds form, Portland will shoot 20 free throws more than we do, and there will be a big audience for game 7. Maybe that's what this jeckyll and hyde officiating is all about.

Just wanted to jump in and say here's one Blazer fan that can admit we lost because we got killed on the boards and couldn't hit a shot worth sh*t. I swear to god, I didn't know we had 5 year olds from our board embarrassing the whole fanbase like this. Anyway, the Mavs are the superior team. I don't care how many experts think the Blazers have all these matchups that work in our favor. I'm pretty sure every one of those phonies said Gerald Wallace was gonna make the difference in Portland winning this series and he's been about as useful as Greg Oden so far. Dirk's been off, but so has the entire Portland team with the exception of Andre Miller who is only good at our demise. lol At least you guys have some players to step up and pick up the pieces when needed. I would kill for the Blazers bench to be half as good as the Mavs bench has been this series. Or to have Tyson Chandler. But ya know, gotta stick with what you have.

Congrats guys. The Mavs deserved to win this game. They dominated the boards and shut down both Aldridge and Roy.

As for complaints about the officiating, obviously it was different than in Portland, but it's hard for me to buy any complaints about the officiating in a game where one team takes a 20 point lead and the other team can't buy a bucket during crunch time.

See you in Portland.

If the Mavs could have hit some wide open 3's they coulda been up as much as 30. The Mavs are clearly the better team and besides a meltdown in the 4th quarter the series has gone 100% the way I thought, the series shoulda been over tonight. I think we'll close it out on Thursday. The Mavs could have easily won all 5 games in the series already, its a shame that the series is going this long really. Thank goodness the Hornets are making the Lakers work.

While I'm happy we did win our two games obviously, I completely agree. Dallas has been the better team in every game, and even in our wins we scrapped by way too closely.

I love the Blazers, always have and always will. But I'm almost starting to want to see you guys make it to the next round on the sole reason that I couldn't stand seeing us going down by 20+ to the Lakers every game.

There are 4 teams in this series. Mavericks in Dallas, Mavericks in Portland, Blazers in Portland, and Blazers in Dallas.

Here's hoping this Mavs team goes on the road.

The Mavs could have won game 3 easily. Game 4 is what it was. Theres no fear for this Mav team to play a game there.

Just got back from the game. So portland fans are bitching about the refs, huh? Well, of course we are gonna get fouled when we keep grabbing offensive rebounds under the basket, I think that accounts for most of the discrepancy.

I heard on the radio that the crowd seemed pretty lame tonight on TV, did you guys pick that up as well? Of course Dallas is never going to be a real loud place, but it seemed relatively good for a mavs crowd.

Hey Guys, sorry about mono. He's been told to knock it off on the Portland Forum, as well. As I mentioned in the Portland thread, I'm not blaming the ref's for this loss because Portland was horrid in the 2nd half (again) tonight. However, why can't a foul be a foul, regardless of the home team, regardless of the players involved, etc. I just think the game should be called evenly and if that means Dallas gets more foul shots, so be it. Anyways, good job tonight. Here's hopin this series goes to 7 games!!!

As mentioned before, completely agree. Watching Tyson Chandler against us is how I would imagine Shaq back in high school, there's no one who can box him out, out rebound him or do anything but hack him to try and stop him from scoring. I don't know what happened to Marcus Camby.

Yeah hopefully we'll get to see this Chandler a couple more times this year in the playoffs before we give him an outrageous contract haha

We really look like a totally different team when he plays with that energy.
A lot would still be riding on Dirk and Terry's shoulders but we'd have a legit chance against the Lakers if that Chandler shows up for a few games

As a whole Portland fans have been solid. We don't let one idiot cloud our judgement of the blazer fans. The Rose Garden in a mad house, you guys should be proud.

Shout out to Timmy Lehbrach and Billy, I'm a lil drunky, what was the name of the first RealGM semi troll that was actually pretty funny from the Protland board? He was a lil Dunleavy Jr ish IIRC. Man its been like 7 years thou. Whoever he was is def a RGM HoFer no doubt.

Simple as that.

You still have not answered which Bill Russell you are referring to and why he is a goat. I would think that 11 titles in 13 years is very non-goat like.

Bill Russell is the GOAT. 11 titles in 13 seasons. No star has a better winning percentage.

We are viewing Goat as different things I guess. Goats are not a good thing. I view a goat as someone who is to blame for not winning.

That gets back to your unusual world view.

I can't tell if you're busting balls or not, but GOAT = Greatest Of All Time. It's lame and douchey to say someone is the GOAT, just like I can't stand when people go "We're gonna win a ship this season". Terrible.

I am an old fart, and Texting short cuts are not my thing. I get it now. I only asked him about 30 times what he meant, and he finally replied. The same poster thinks that Dirk won a title in 2006, so the insanity approaches your former levels, pep.

Dudes name was Saxson or something very close to that. He was hilarious and way before his time. He was maybe the first consistent poster on Real GM I believe.

Portland starting to get ridiculous.
That is dumb. They are still playing all out trying to prevent us from getting over half court in time and they want to complain that we were still playing? Oh wells, what can you expect?
