We will see though. Just have to let this thing play out.

Playing Pf without spacing will help his game?

First off he will provide some of that spacing because he’s also a 3pt threat. He’s not great from 3 but he is a legit threat. Also as I stated the Mavs are likely not done trading. Let’s see who else they can get with 3 FRP’s at their disposal. If they want a guy like Markkanen they could still trade for him. There’s still a ton of options for them.

AD never even reached 30% for 3 in last 5 years, his career average is under 30% too and he's doing all that on extremely low volume. So yeah, he's not any kind of threat.

Markkanen? :D Didn't you said that AD is playing Pf?

Why didn't they traded for Markkanen, when they had Luka and desperately needed Pf? He would be great fit with Luka, not with AD playing Pf.

I am mostly a reader, but I felt the need to log in just to say - oh boy... if only you knew how toxic you are. I mean, I understand positivity, even if it's misplaced, etc., but your constant arguing with anyone who doesn't share your feelings takes toxicity to another level.
So, what exactly is your hope in reality? That everyone who doesn’t share your delusional views simply disappears? That’s just silly, considering you're part of the "toxicity" problem...

Pot calling the kettle black.

That’s funny because there are two guys here (me and 1 other) that are clearly Mavs fans and not Luka Stans. You guys are just upset because I don’t share your opinion and I refuse to say the Mavs suck and are completely done. I actually think this trade is not terrible (although I agree the compensation should have been better). All you guys mad at me because I refuse to share your opinion.

In case you didn’t get that, you’re the toxic one not me.

Don't you think your comments are extremely toxic?

Not even close to you guys.

What toxic thing did I say? You came here like a drunk cowboy in a bar, wanting to have a fight with everyone and now we're toxic?

You're trading 25 old superstar because he gained weight? And you got back 32 years old player made of glass? Narrative about being afraid of Luka's conditioning died in the moment they traded for much older and more injury prone player.

I don't believe you honestly believe that ****.

Hey you guys were the ones always bitching about Luka’s weight. You should be happy he’s gone, isn’t that what you wanted?

Also I never said the trade was perfect. I just said that the trade keeps the Mavs in contention, which it does. Obviously the compensation is bad for a player of Luka’s caliber. The Mavs were never going to get proper compensation though. So even though I think the Mavs could have gotten a better deal this trade keeps them in contention.

You must be mistaken me for someone. So called real Mavs fans were bitching about Luka all the time. I hope they are glad now.

What contention? They have lost 13 of last 20 games. We should believe that AD will miraculously change one of the worst team in the Nba to title contender?

So now the Mavs are one of the worst teams in the NBA? Show that toxicity! Scream it loud and proud!

People are calling you toxic because you started it, cut it off right now, this is a sensitive topic and you've done nothing but derail it.

I'm talking about last 20 games, which they accidentally played without Luka, like they will from now on. How many teams have won less than 7 games in that time, not many. So yes, Mavs looked and played lika a bottom tier team in last 20 games.

How am I derailing? Are we not still talking Luka? Just because I don’t agree with your opinion doesn’t mean I’m derailing.

Are we required to hate the trade in order to post here? Is that what you’re saying?

No, you are required to not call fans toxic and start fights.

I went to church today morning hoping to walk out and come back with more peace and positivity, but I just cant.

Nets fan (KG/PP trade), CLippers fans (PG13 for SGA/picks) you can find comfort in knowing your team didnt do the worst trade in NBA history. Mine did.

I am as upset with Luka on his conditioning as probably any Mav fan, but this trade is nonsensical. Nico Harrison is an idiot. One pick and a broken-down AD for Luka Doncic? Look at some of the trade just in the last 3-4 years, and this is the return for a perrenial all NBA player?

I was born and raised in Maryland but liked the Mavs since 1990 since I wanted to go all things Dallas. I am very much considering just becoming a fan of the hometown Wizards now, thats how bad this trade is

I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy :D

And to think that Mavs at some point had both Brunson and Luka for their next 15 years and now they have none lol.. Insane to think about.

So we can all agree with what I always said, Nico Harrison is the worst negotiator in NAB history?

A trade where Dallas has to take on David Bertans, this idiot is the one that gives up a 2nd round pick
A pick swap for Grant Fn WIlliams
Instead of trading Josh Green for PJ Washington, he gives up an unprotected swap to sue Grant WIlliams instead
Now this

Shoe guy has no place in the league

Nico losing them both in just few years should put him in contention for the worst GM ever.

I don't think this trade has no basketball reasons... Nico made bad trades and good trades.

But this is something different. It's not a bad trade.
It's a gift.
