Remember when the Golden State fans booed Mullin for trading Ellis when they already had Step and Klay? This team needs playmakers. Ellis was a decent passer if I remember correctly. Not bad as an end of the bench guy. He’s not going to start. I think there are some severe over reactions to Mavs bringing in vets for a workout.

Moses doesn't have even close to the athleticism that Tyson had. I really hope he exceeds our expectations but let's probably temper it a bit.

Dragic would make Mavs a lot better team.

Combination of Dirk, KP and now Tyson, Mavs are getting maybe the best prospect of all time.

I personally think there is very high probability that Dragic will be on this team by TDL at the latest, so I wouldn't even waste the time with Thomas or Ellis. Stephenson could become decent veteran wing insurance and could bring some toughness to the team.

I have hopes for Brown, but the level of hope is the same I have for Terry, Green and now McLaughlin.
I had the same hopes for Hinton and Bey last season and we see how that turned out.

Probably not a good idea to become over enthused by Brown unless you just love setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yeah, it's beyond ridiculous to even begin to compare him to any of those 3 right now and probably ever.
The only slight path that I see to Brown even getting a look is if WCS is included in a trade deal that isn't bringing back a center.
For instance, if WCS is included in a deal for Dragic, then I could see the Mavs giving Brown a good look.
But if WCS is on this team I don't see Brown getting any opportunity whatsoever.

Brunson may be better than Dragic this season if he upgraded his game in any way. Dragic coming in late in a season is less a problem because he already has experience playing with Luka and so that works day one. If he comes in later then his injury risk issues is lessened but I see it as a lateral move not one that really improves the team too much since we already have Luka at PG and Brunson as a back up is adequate now that we improved the bench scoring and 3 point shooting.

Brown is the next Kareem hell why stop at Tyson level comparisons if he can develop a sky hook I will be happy and at 7'2" hes there already he just needs that additional shot. I can see a guy that nearly double doubled for a year improving on that break out season performance so I say give the kid a chance he is young and able to grow and big men take longer to develop so you need to develop them from a younger age and be patient in that process.

People have a sense of hope that they are getting circa 2015 Dragic. He'll only get minutes of development and pushes Brunson's development 1 year back, for a 1 year rental of a 35 year old? I don't see the point. Build the team the right way. A reunification or a reunion of 2 Slovenians is cool and all, so Slovenians can hold hands and sing Kumbaya. But what happens when Dragic expires next year and walks back to his house and kids in Miami? The Mavs start to develop Brunson again? So why push it back in the first place?

Dragic is a final piece type of addition to a championship team at this stage. He is similar to a Rajon Rondo when you add him to a team ready to compete for a title. Adding him to a half baked Mavs team means you just want Slovenians to feel good about watching a game in the odd hours of the day by hitting two birds with one stone. The Mavs are not there yet.

He would, both in filling the much needed backup PG, filling the leadership void, being a mentor to Luka, and being a dirty and tough player when the rest of the roster are a bunch of nice guys, but I think this is pure speculation.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Jalen Brunson will never be what Dragic is...neither at 35yo.

Goran has 10/15 minutes of quality that Luka needs, especially in PO...let's hope he stays healthy.

If that new rookie signng is able to show us anything then I am excited about him more than I am about prospects of adding Dragic. Key is can his 3 point fg% translate to the next level and will his being a 6'4" PG make it so that is more likely. He can take his time learning the offense and get busy impressing us with defense because no D = no playtime. A 3&D pg is what we need. Dragic probably cannot play D much at his age. His 3 point shooting is average at best so if this kid has the goods to shoot 40% like he did the last 2 years of college then he is a keeper and worth developing a place for.

Haters… Every time a small piece of news comes out y’all use it to rip this team apart. Lol. Are you all secretly Spurs fans? What happens when this team is successful? Do y’all walk all of this back?

Can’t we just bring back Deshawn Stevenson and make everyone happy?

What is your definition of success? Is it getting out of the first round? Do you really honestly believe that this team improved enough to do so?

The Mavs didn’t address paint defense or rebounding at all, which was their Achilles heel all last season. Dragic may help the team win games, but I have trouble envisioning a world in which the Mavs don’t just give up countless PITP or offensive rebounds to the opposing teams

The problem is you're complaining and the season hasn't started yet. Not a game has been played. The roster may not even be finalized.

And I'm not sure I'm actually referring to you or other people because there's just so many of you.
