Exactly. This is the point.

Of course that is the Plan B but you are right.

This forum is strange, even fans of other teams understand the trade but not Mavs fans :dontknow:

Kyrie is not an evil person. There was no question about his personality.

the main question about him is he's "moody" and when he's not feeling it, he doesn't show up to work.

True true but after digging into this topic a bit in the last couple of days it does seem like he gets a bad rap for things that others get away with - like the vaccination situation (personally I'm on the opposite side of the argument to him) but there were other unvaccinated players that refused to get vaccinated. He just happened to have the unfortunate situation that his employment contract was governed by the State of New York and he was made the poster child of an anti-vax movement.

There you go. From the man himself. He expects Josh Green to step up now. Hopefully with a starting role.

Yup. Kyrie's not stupid, I think he has too much principles.

This is a guy that walked away from like $18M just because he didn't want the vaccine.

He had some weird positions about social problems, that's true.
But the media and the NBA made scorched earth around him.
I can understand his hate about this situation.

We can only hope for a came back and redemption for him. If he doesn't work we will let him go away and sign some other.

I'd volunteer for all kinds of experimental drugs for $18m

Being european I might not have the same visibility but my understanding is that NY and LA media are also about the most ruthless magnifying glasses in the country?

This is where I think Cuban would be the perfect owner for a guy like Kyrie.

Because just when the media would hone into Kyrie like crows on a carcass, Cuban would immediately say something outrageous about NBA officiating and how David Stern would control the NBA and he would immediately get fined and he'd get the headlines and not his players. This was how he shielded Dirk from criticism early on. That racked him a ton of NBA fines though.

That's for sure... Maybe he needs only a little attention from the media and the world.
He has to think about playing basketball. Not else.

Maybe 10years ago... Right now Cuban is more moderate and more politically correct that his prime.

I would like he would return the old Cuban honestly.

It's a plus if Kieff can bring guns and his NFL thug buddies to the arena in the playoffs to scare other teams.

My thoughts not having much prior Kyrie experience. Surprisingly well spoken and sensible and after seeing the witch hunt that gets performed by the media about every word he says I can sort of understand where he's coming from... maybe.
Either way - he says all the right things and seems really focused and determined - let's let the man get some sleep and then get to work.
